Poor product, inconsistent toasting, hassle to use
This is the third toaster of this model I have had in the past two years and it continues to be a terrible purchase. I returned the first one to store because the bread would cook on one side only. The replacement toaster also had a problem with toasting evenly - one of the slots would cook at a faster rate than the other. I swapped the model again in store. The third toaster which I am still using has very inconsistent browning control. I am tired of taking the item back only to be disappointed again, so have learned to live with the disappointment of having to stand by the toaster and pop the bread up mid cycle to ensure it hasn't burnt again. I would give this item 1 star, but I feel like I have brought part of the problem on myself by buying a cheap end toaster. Maybe this is to be expected on cheaper items at Argos. In any case, I've tried three of this model and they have all failed in similar but different ways. I can only assume its a cheap item and I've got what I deserved in trying to save some money. My advice is do not buy this toaster.

A disappointment. Why is that toasters are so hit and miss? I'm afraid that this Morphy Richard Equip toaster is a miss for two reasons. First, if you are expecting both sides of your toast to brown evenly, then this toaster is not for you...or me. Bafflingly, it even states in the instructions that it is meant to be that way! Had I known before I bought it that one side of the bread would be demonstrably more well-toasted than the other side, I wouldn't have bought it. The other reason it's a miss for me is that even on the low setting of 2 it is overdone on one side; I would hate to see what the toast comes out like on setting 7!

Its powerful, it can toast a slice of frozen bread using only timer setting 3. The cable is too short for the preferred postion on the kitchen worktop.
