Neat and compact
Neat and compact the colour matches my kettle. It works very well. The bread is evenly toasted and the slots wide enough for all my needs. However it might not be as good for large sliced loaves. Crumb tray easy to check, remove & empty.

Looks good, very powerful
I bought this to match a more upmarket kettle. It not only looks good, it is efficient. It browns toast at a very low setting so I hate to think what it would do on the highest setting. There is no rack for heating croissants and also there is no removable crumb tray which is a bit of a surprise.

Simple but superb!
My 20 year old toaster gave up finally, so it was a challenge to find a suitable replacement. I admit I'm fussy about my toast, in fact my morning toast with butter (yes, butter) and marmalade, is one of the finer moments of my day, so a lot rests on the quality of my toaster to deliver. It's absolutely excellent, fine tuning achieves the required tone of toast, it adjusts from simple brown bread to sophisticated sourdough. A simple pleasure made possible because I bought the best toaster. In practical terms it's easy to use and easy to clean, I'm optimistic it will last the next 20 years!

Nice red toaster
Bought this for the red colour with the matching kettle. The colour is brilliant. The toaster works well though it sounds a bit tinny when the lever is depressed, it does function ok. I do find I have to turn the bread around halfway through toasting to get an even browning on both sides. I assume the centre element is not as hot as the outer element, but this has been the same with every toaster I have had so not a major problem. The toaster doesn't have a high lift facility to raise the bread for removal. This is not a problem for normal slices as the mechanism comes up more than expected, but for toasting small items like crumpets it may be an issue. Great value for the price though.
