Unexpected hazard.
On being removed from packaging one shelf exploded and shattered for no reason, glass scattered everywhere. Contacted manufacturer who replaced all three shelves, unit now constructed and appears ok. Time will tell.

Very study and attractive TV table.
A really good and sturdy table. It took me an hour to assemble on my own but the instructions were easy to follow - the diagrams excellent. It looks great with the 55" TV on it. Two decorative panels were missing but got a polite response when I rang the helpline and two days later they arrived in the post.

It’s in a flat pack and recommends two people build it due to the glass needing to be slotted into the right place. It’s extremely heavy so would recommend getting it delivered and have an electric screwdriver at the ready.
It's flatpack, self assembly. Fairly easy to build single handed, but an assistant would be helpful. Just make sure all the parts are there before you begin, and follow the instructions to assemble it upside down (you'll know why, when you try threading the corner rods through the shelves !). It's quite sturdy, taking our 43" flat screen tv with ease, with plenty of space for Sky box / DVD player / Playstation / etc. on the shelves.

The lower TWO shelves are narrower than the top one, and tapered towards the back.
Instructions are very poor. The unit is very difficult to put together, even with two people, and some of the screws were missing.

This TV stand is rated to hold TVs up to 40kg, so it will hold a 24kg TV without any problems.

I should think so. It is strongly made and once put together can take quite a lit of weight. I accidentally lent on it quite hard and it did not break!
The max TV weight and top shelf weight are the same thing so 40kg. The other shelves are 10kg each. Kind Regards, Mitchell @ AVF.
This doesn't sound right, please check you have removed the cork from the the metal bosses on the underside of the top shelf before screwing in the rods. Please also check the parts labelled M are the right way up as they go a different ways up in step 7 compared with step 4 .
