The Cookworks 2500W Table Top Double Hotplate Hob has two independent cast iron plates that work with any pan, perfect for simmering sauces while you fry, keeping vegetables warm, or adding extra capacity when cooking for a crowd. The 2500W power is split between a 1500W and a 1000W hotplate, each with variable heat control and power indicator to dial in the temperature. The durable powder-coated steel body wipes clean quickly, and foldable handles let you tuck it away or take it with you when space is tight.

Takes ages to get hot but once hot stays hot.
Bought this as a temp measure when our induction hob broke do we are using our induction pans on it. Takes ages for the pans to get hot but when they are up to temperature it's hard to control. The dials click the thermostat on and off but the pans stay very hot and make it hard to simmer etc.. this might be our pans holding the heat well. Ut certainly works and is good to have in the garage as a back up.

This is my third Cookworks hob. I've used them daily and they perform well except that all have died after 6-8 months, the large ring just stops working. So if you buy one, either expect to take it back within a year or you could purchase an extended warranty; either way, keep your receipt!

Great portable product
I bought this a week ago to use at home as we have solar energy now and I wanted to utilise the electricity use (as it’s free once paid off) so to save on spending out on gas (as we have a gas hob) thought I’d purchase a portable hob. Great little device that is easy to use, heats up quickly and has two different sized plates. Not a lot more to say but great product.

Great camping accessory
Purchased for the sole purpose of using when in the campervan. Works well off my battery/inverter with the added bonus of being able to use when on EHU. The light weight and compact size is a positive. No need to take the gas rings and bottled gas. Very handy when blowing a gale, can use inside or out without the obvious hazards. Quick heat up, the only mild inconvenience is that is takes a little while to cool down

The burner stove works great for daily cooking. It heats up fast, is easy to clean, and the flame control is smooth. For the price, it’s solid value. Would recommend for small kitchens.

The same has happened to me. I replaced the plug fuse but that didnt work contacted Argos was told that since its not a technical problem I have to go and have it repaired with a third party electrician at my expense.
