Excellent Watch
I brought this and I’m really pleased that I did. I needed a watch that had a nice clear dial and this Timex is perfect, I was sceptical when I ordered it but it’s perfect for my needs. My wrist is less than 6 inches so I cannot wear the large faced watches.

The watch face is ideal for me but the strap is far too long and very stiff to use. After two weeks the back is starting to crack.

Good "basic" watch
After years of wearing a tracker I had to go back to a watch - an old Timex Expedition - about three years ago. When that stopped working I thought I would get another one as it had lasted over 20 years, with a number of battery changes. They are not to be found except on websites I don't really want to buy from so I bought this more basic Timex from Argos. Easy to buy online and I didn't have to wait long to be able to collect it locally - both pluses as far as I am concerned. Reviews for this watch were mixed but there wasn't much choice really and, although I do find the strap difficult to fasten, I do like the very clear face and appreciate that it has the Indiglo feature my Expedition had. Like most things nowadays I can't imagine it will last 20 off years but you never know!

First one broke
The first one I bought broke within a couple of months - the winder fell out. But Argos replaced it and the second one is ok so far. Fingers crossed. I couldn’t return the broken watch to the click-and-collect shop where I picked it up and had to go to a main Argos which was a bit of a faff but they replaced it without fuss.

I have spoken to Timex who has confirmed that the guarantee only covers the watch face itself and not the strap. Straps are generally not covered under manufacturer's warranty. It is only issues which are seen a manufacturing faults like issues with the dial and the movement.

The bezel is the frame that holds the watch face. Some watches, such as diving watches, have a rotating bezel. A fixed bezel just means the bezel does not rotate.
