Dining chairs
Once assembled the chairs looked good and were reasonably comfortable, however one of the holes in the side of the chair did not align so I had to chisel some of the wood to make metal cylindrical bolts fit ( this was the same for all 4 of the chairs I purchased, it clearly is a quality control issue.

Good solid furniture
Really nice solid piece of furniture- even better at the reduced price. The one thing I'd say is there are no pilot holes in the seat portion- which is an issue given the nature of natural wood. As the wood adjust it to temperature it will expand a little, filling the gaps that seem to make the seat portion not fit the frame. However, without pilot holes this makes it difficult to align as they don't fit perfectly fresh out of the box. Overall a nice quality product- but pilot holes would make it excellent!

Proper Dining Chairs
All wood, I found these easy and quick to put together, the result seems quite sturdy and is heavy - think proper dining chairs rather than bistro chairs. As expected with no contouring of the seat base for one's bottom, seat pads / cushions would be needed. I was pleased enough to repeat purchase, ending up with six chairs in total.

Good quality and will be easy to keep clean. The only downside is that the back is rigid and uncomforable to lean back against. A scalloped shape might be better.

These chairs look really good around my table but unfortunately they are not very comfortable. I have put seat pads on them but found it hard to get a proper fit.

Lovely chairs - classic look
I love these chairs they look great and are sturdy. I was so pleased with them that I bought two more. You do have to assemble them but they’re easy to do by one person and the instructions are clear. You need a Phillips screwdriver in addition to the hardware that’s supplied. Very classic looking with the spindle back so will go with just about any table. Rock solid once assembled so will last and last.

Thanks for your query about the Nel Pair of Solid Wood Spindle Chair - Oak.
The seat section is 430mm x 385mm. This includes two small sections cut out at the back of this seat part for where the back attaches to it. This means that it'll probably just fit a 40cm cushion but it may overlap/overhang a bit at the front.
