About this product
The Habitat Nel Spindle Chairs give you solid seating for family dinners, working from home, or settling in with guests. There's a set of four chairs, so there's room for everyone round the table. The solid wood frame and legs are built to handle daily use, while the square seat provides a sturdy base. Curved spindles on the back soften the traditional country style and give them a fresh, modern feel. The black finish works with contemporary furniture, so you can mix pieces that suit your space.
Each chair supports up to 100kg, giving you stable, reliable seating through years of mealtimes and tasks. The solid wood seat's comfortable enough on its own, and you can add a cushion if you fancy extra padding. They're really easy to look after, just wipe with a sponge and warm soapy water to keep them clean. Simple assembly required, one person can manage it. There's a one-year manufacturer's guarantee included for peace of mind.

Dining chairs
Once assembled the chairs looked good and were reasonably comfortable, however one of the holes in the side of the chair did not align so I had to chisel some of the wood to make metal cylindrical bolts fit ( this was the same for all 4 of the chairs I purchased, it clearly is a quality control issue.

Good solid furniture
Really nice solid piece of furniture- even better at the reduced price. The one thing I'd say is there are no pilot holes in the seat portion- which is an issue given the nature of natural wood. As the wood adjust it to temperature it will expand a little, filling the gaps that seem to make the seat portion not fit the frame. However, without pilot holes this makes it difficult to align as they don't fit perfectly fresh out of the box. Overall a nice quality product- but pilot holes would make it excellent!

Excellent chairs but not without issues!
These are lovely chairs that are easy to make. I know that because the wife made them without swearing once. They are though not without problems. The four chairs came, flat packed, in two cartons. Upon getting to the bottom chairs in each carton my wife noticed that they were marked and rubbed in places. We rang Argos and they offered to send replacements, on the condition that the ones sent back were dismantled and put back in their original box. Now as I said, my wife made them easily enough, but she really wasn't that happy to dismantle them, and she was concerned that the next ones might be marked too. So, we were forced to keep them, give them a wipe over and use a special crayon to patch them up! They are nice chairs though! Very comfortable too.

Proper Dining Chairs
All wood, I found these easy and quick to put together, the result seems quite sturdy and is heavy - think proper dining chairs rather than bistro chairs. As expected with no contouring of the seat base for one's bottom, seat pads / cushions would be needed. I was pleased enough to repeat purchase, ending up with six chairs in total.

Just the right size for our lounge/dining room
Good quality and will be easy to keep clean. The only downside is that the back is rigid and uncomforable to lean back against. A scalloped shape might be better.

Nice looking chairs
These chairs look really good around my table but unfortunately they are not very comfortable. I have put seat pads on them but found it hard to get a proper fit.

Lovely chairs - classic look
I love these chairs they look great and are sturdy. I was so pleased with them that I bought two more. You do have to assemble them but they’re easy to do by one person and the instructions are clear. You need a Phillips screwdriver in addition to the hardware that’s supplied. Very classic looking with the spindle back so will go with just about any table. Rock solid once assembled so will last and last.

It is classed as OAK natural, which looks more like a medium oak colour.
