Just as advertised. Installation was straightforward and just like a standard pendant fitting. Seems solidly made and had a nice matt finish. The cable, which is cloth covered rather than pvc, could be shortened quite easily to make it the perfect length from my high ceiling.

This is the second time I have purchased these fittings. I had them in my previous home and was so please with them I have got them for my new one. Easy to fit …according to my husband 😏. And look very good, much more expensive looking than they are. Comes with a fitting so that you can use different variable shade sizes and has a very long flex which I will be taking advantage of when I hang some low pendants in the near future.

The Habitat Pendel Electric Light Fitting Black 1.2M is not compatible with bayonet bulbs. It is designed for use with an E27 Edison screw cap bulb.
This does not have a "maximum" shade diameter defined by the manufacturer in terms of a physical limit. It is a pendant fitting designed to allow you to use a variety of shades of your choice, or even go bare with a designer bulb.
However, the fitting has an E27 Edison screw cap bulb holder with a shade hole of approximately 40mm (4cm) in diameter. The manufacturer has indicated that compatible shades generally have a hole of about 45mm, to fit over this.
As for the maximum recommended physical diameter of the shade itself, a supplier note mentions that you can fit a shade with a 45cm diameter or something in that region. Generally, the size of the shade should be proportionate to the room size and the height of the fitting.
