AERIAL EXTENSION KIT
This kit is a length of aerial wire and two ends which you have to put on yourself. I did this and initially it worked then the picture became fuzzy then it stopped working altogether. I tried both ends and re-did them 3 times but not working. I then bought a ready assembled extension wire for half the price and it is perfect without all the hassle and time wasted. This has been consigned to the bin since it is in no condition to return.

Hello Becky,
The supplier has advised the following for the 15m Aerial Extension Kit - White:
“ You need to cut the outer plastic on the cable leaving bare copper – insert the copper into the coaxial connector and then tighten it with the circular cap – ensure cable is connected securely by giving a gentle tug – this then means the copper is in the connector and signal will be obtained. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Cut away the outer piece of the cable, leaving only the coper bit. Put the copper bit into the little plastic cone and tighten it with the circular cap. Sorry, i'm not a native english speaker and don't know the nanes of the indivual parts but it's really easy to esemble and hope my explanation helps. Otherwise go on youtube or google to find a better one. Good luck.
Hello Bob
Argos can not comment as we do not know the connection type at the box.
Sorry - Please contact Sky for advice.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Kat,
From the information we have available I don't see why you wouldn't be able to thread this 15m Aerial Extension Kit through some light trunking. The diameter of this cable is approx. 6.4mm as long as the diameter trunking exceeds the cable.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Pidge

Hello NM,
I have spoken to our supplier who have advised as follows for the 15m Aerial Extension Kit:
"The cable specification is 3C-2V which is fine for a standard signal but the cable has less protection than a standard RG6 cable and therefore can cause some suffering of a HD signal, however this would depend on the strength of the signal at source and how long the extension cable will be running."
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello there,
This is an aerial cable and not satellite cable and thus won't work. Please contact Sky as your old boxes may not be compatible any more due to taking Sky Q as the multi room is wireless with Sky Q mini boxes.
Thanks for using Q&A.
I just bought one today, 12 April 23. Yes it can be shortened as you have to fit the RF ends supplied. So you can cut it to any length you want. Not what I needed. I wanted fixed ends so its being returned.
Hi Antco,
This is not designed to be shortend.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Amy,
Our suppliers have advised.
The coax cable has a 6.4mm outside diameter.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
Hi Jay,
Yes, this will be ok! for your Q box, but sky recommend you use
RG59 coax cable is house cable used for installation of basic cable and for connections between TV, VCR and satellite. RG6 coax cable is a stronger grade of coax cable that is used for satellite transmission.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A
