About this product
The Emberton Double Bed Frame gives you somewhere comfortable to sleep at night while helping organise your bedroom with built-in storage. It's made from solid wood with a rich oak stain that brings out the natural grain. The traditional design features a headboard and foot end with turned finials and edge detailing for a classic country style that fits into most bedrooms. Four drawers underneath the bed let you store seasonal linens, blankets and clothes without taking up wardrobe space.
The drawers sit on metal runners, so they slide open and close smoothly even when full. Fixed wooden slats support your mattress and spread weight evenly for a comfortable night's sleep. The solid wood frame handles daily use and supports up to 220kg. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, all fixings included. Solid built
This bed comes in two well packed boxes but they are heavy so check drop damage to the box on delivery. Building of the bed does take time and I would recommend not to rush it. Allow 4 to 5 hours. When built it is solid and it looks good. The drawers work very well on proper steel runners with no sticking or jamming going on. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a wooden bed frame with 4 working drawers

Looks nice, however not so easy to assemble with the little spanner; not a good idea. "Argos", You need to change it bolts the same as used on the headboard.

Very nice bed.
Easy to assemble and strong once built. Along with a Emma mattress it is very comfortable. About the only negative I could find ws the draws are quite small. They could have been a lot bigger. But only tasked up half the space available. It is a small grumble. The drawers work really nicely. Overall it's a great bed.

Complete shambles!
Ordered bed frame online- upon receiving item, there were some screws/bolts missing. There were no spare available, therefore this bed was collected and a new one delivered. Upon receiving the new one, this also had some parts missing. A further delivery was organised- for the parts to be replaced- today the delivery lorry arrived and they reported upon checking the lorry- there were no replacement parts there! They had no idea why. After all this - I then cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Disgusting service. I will be making a formal complaint.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Emberton Single Wooden Bed Frame - Pine: There is no specific recommended mattress depth provided, but based on the product’s structure, the distance from the slats to the top of the footboard is 303 mm.
Therefore, the recommended mattress depth would be less than this, so the mattress does not exceed the total height of the footboard.
