Aluminium transit chair with an extremely compact and lightweight aluminium frame and is ideal for the occasional or first time user who wants a strong, reliable and easy to use wheeled chair. Folds in seconds to go in the boot of your car, on a bus, coach or aeroplane. It is light enough to be lifted in and out of a car boot with ease.

Lightweight
I bought this for my husband who has mobility issues. I wanted a wheelchair that would fold easily and that I could lift into the car or up steps. This is good for the money. My only concern are the wheels which I find a bit flimsy. On saying that it does the job I want it to. My husband says it is comfortable to get from a to b.

Lightweight and easy to assemble
Overall I am happy with this wheelchair. It is much more lightweight than my old chair and was straight forward and easy to assemble. The only downside is that the seat is quite narrow.

Wanted a really cheap lightweight wheelchair as I sometimes have trouble walking far. Thought I’d try this one from Argos and wow, it’s great. All set up, just slot the wheels on and away you go, only downside is it doesn’t fit too well in my Corsa (I thought it would stand up folded, but it has to lie in the boot) but it is light enough for me to lift it in and out

Light weight wheelchair
Recently purchased to mainly use inside the home to support my Mum helping my Dad get from bathroom, sitting room etc. Easy to assemble and sturdy. Great for home use and getting from house to car, short journeys. Lightweight and Dad states comfortable, he actually sits in it whilst watching TV with pressure cushion. Good height for him to get up from. Overall great value and quality.

Good Wheelchair
Only tried it out for the first time recently. It folds up in the car. It’s lighter than other big wheelchairs. Nice colour blue. Took the time to read the manual and altered the foot rests lower as they were set a bit too high. Went our local indoor shopping centre first use and wasn’t too bad at all.

The supplier has advised the following for the Aidapt Aluminium Compact Blue Transit Chair:
"The footplate assemblies can be adjusted in height by loosening the nut of the base of the adjustment tube, positioning the plate at the required height and tightening the nut to secure the assembly. The footplate supports can be swung away to the outside of the chair. To carry out this procedure, pull the release lever towards the front and swing the support to the outside of the chair. If the support is to be removed, lift it upwards. To re-fit and return to the original position, reverse the above procedure."

There is no assembly with this item, however everything does need to be checked and secured before use, including any adjustment to the brakes, which is explained in the instruction manual.
