About this product
The Hisense HS214 is a compact 2.1 channel soundbar designed to boost your TV audio without taking up much space or needing a separate subwoofer cluttering the floor. With two front-facing speakers and a built-in subwoofer all packed into a 64cm-wide bar, you get 108W of sound that covers clear dialogue, decent midrange, and bass with some actual depth to it - perfect for livening up anything from a 32-inch TV upwards in your living room or bedroom.
Dolby Digital processing offers three EQ modes (Movie, Music and News), so you can adjust sound to match what you're watching or listening to. Connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to stream music from your phone or tablet, or use HDMI ARC for a simple one-cable TV connection. Optical audio, USB and 3.5mm line-in are also available. At 5.8cm tall and weighing 2.7kg, it fits neatly under your TV or can be wall-mounted (brackets not included). The box includes a remote with batteries, an HDMI cable, and a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Can hear what is being said now in movies
I purchased this soundbar because our TV is over 10 years old and we couldn't hear the sound clearly especially when watching movies. After installing the soundbar using the optical connector, the soundbar has button functions for movies, music and news. The sound quality is good in all three criterias and we can understand what is being said in movies. The only downside, we couldn't get the auto wake function on the soundbar to work.

Soundbar compatible with TV over 10 years old
As we are getting older we are finding the sound in movies very hard to understand. I had to find a soundbar (originally with 3.5mm AUX socket,) so we knew it would be compatible with the TV. However, on purchasing the soundbar, we found our TV has an optical connector, so connected the soundbar this way. The soundbar is easy to use and has buttons for movies, music and news. I must admit the sound quality for all of these buttons is much better now and it allows us to understand what is being said and enjoy the music in all of these criterias.

Recently purchased a 58" TV , everything was fantastic with TV bar from one little minor fault ,the speakers was very hit and miss so invested in hisense soundbar with a price to suit the pocket,With very easy set up to the TV the small compact bar made all the difference,The bar is of sturdy constructin and finished well,And still with money in my pocket. Well done Hisense in putting a good soundbar on the market and affordable to pocket.

Works well. Easy to install.
I bought this for my deaf step dad. His previous one stopped working. This one doesn't make the volume as loud as the last one, which is better for the rest of us! It is as loud as it needs to be so that he can hear his tv. It was a bit cheaper too. It only has touch controls, not proper buttons, but he got used to it.

“ Please note that for eARC you'll have to check the TV specification list.
Every soundbar supports HDMI connection, but is it eARC or ARC it depends on the model of the TV. Some of Hisense TV models support only ARC port and the other are supporting eARC. ”
