Can really help coverage
Bought to help with WiFi coverage upstairs, in a large house with very thick, stone walls. Works well for 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz showed little improvement. 5Ghz struggles with substantial walls & the 2.4Ghz boost was well worth it. The unit extends below its integrated plug, so very low sockets may be an issue without an extension lead. The twin, movable aerials are worthwhile - I set one vertical, the other at 90-degrees & saw a signal improvement, so try different positions. The Tether app is very good - the WiFi toolkit is really useful, not just for this product! Stability & speed at 2.4Ghz have been much improved upstairs & that was the aim. You can rename the extender WiFi so it's easy to identify when connecting devices to it. You can also set the WiFi signal (2.4/5Ghz/both together) from router to extender, then from extender to devices. That's excellent (& not very obvious) - you could use different combinations depending on which signal is strongest - at each link in the WiFi chain.

Effective product for a reasonable price.
Did exactly what I needed and I now have Wi-Fi in my hall and bedroom. Easy enough to connect with a little patience.

Hard to setup but working fine now
I bought this just over a week ago and whilst it is working fine now it was incredibly hard to set up and then after two hours of trying to set it up suddenly started working and it's been working since then the only thing I would say is that sometimes it will switch off throughout the day like every couple of hours or so, but it will only switch off for around a couple of minutes and then it's back on again so it isn't a major issue but can be a bit annoying if mid Call or trying to watch something other than that very happy with the purchase As it has improved the strength of the Wi-Fi and haven't had an issue with streaming or video calls since then. I live in a tall building with only one Wi-Fi and multiple flats so it's extended the Wi-Fi from the bottom floor to my flat on the top third floor, which is great

The range extender was very simple to set up, and works perfectly. It also meshes seamlessly with another one I have, providing strong wifi throughout the house. Thoroughly recommended, and cheaper than on John Lewis!

Useful WiFi range extender - now I can get a good signal at the other end of the house for using with a laptop or phone. It took a little while to figure out the best settings but it has boosted the speed significantly compared to just using our old router.

If you have a WiFi router in the house or nearby, and the caravan parked close - it should. Its designed to connect to a router via WiFi, then repeat that routers WiFi signal to devices further away. It does use a 3-pin plug and mains power.

The RE315 can connect to and extend an existing Wi‑Fi network. If your Three portable dongle provides a Wi‑Fi signal (for example, a mobile Wi‑Fi hotspot/MiFi device), the RE315 should be able to connect to it and extend the wireless coverage.
If it is a USB mobile broadband dongle that must be plugged directly into a computer or router, the RE315 cannot connect to it directly.

Yes, the RE315 can help improve Wi-Fi coverage in your basement, but it will depend on the Wi-Fi signal strength where the extender is installed.
For best performance, we recommend placing the RE315 in a location where it can still receive a good signal from your main router, rather than placing it directly in an area with little or no Wi-Fi coverage.
After the setup is completed, you can check the signal indicator on the RE315:
Blue LED: Good connection to the router.
Red LED: Weak connection. In this case, please move the extender closer to the router.
If your basement currently receives at least some Wi-Fi signal from the router, the RE315 should be able to extend the coverage and improve connectivity in that area.

TP-Link Wi-Fi range extenders can work when plugged to a travel adapter. If there is no router or any travel router, it cannot work separately in a caravan.
