Easy to set up, no tick alarm clock, nice compact size though big enough to read easily. Only downside is the clock light is very bright in dark bedroom when checking time in middle of the night.

Great, compact clock!
While this clock is certainly not going to win any style awards, it is a super practical and effective nightstand clock. The light is very bright for nighttime and in daytime the screen is readable without it. Also the instructions are super easy to follow and the buttons relatively intuitive. The alarm is loud enough to wake you up, without being so loud you worry it’ll disturb the neighbours - a balance difficult to find in many cheaper alarm clocks! Additional features like date and temperature are also a nice touch, and they’re all radio controlled so very precise. All in all, 10/10.

The question was Can you see the time at night without pressing a button?
The answer is no, if you press the top button the blue back light illuminates for a few seconds to read the time.
If it was on all the time the batteries would not last long and I like a dark bedroom.

Radio Controlled does not mean its a radio to listen to, the clock time is corrected via a radio signal.
Its a pity the Argos staff do not understand that.

There is only one setting for the sound. It starts with a single pip beep for about 10 seconds, then two for a few seconds, then three, then a more insistent beeping until you stop it or an amount of time elapses.

Yes, the Precision Radio Controlled LCD Alarm Clock does have the option to display time in a 24-hour format. To change the clock to a 24-hour clock, you need to press and hold the time button for 6 seconds, which will flash "12" on the screen, then press the up button once to change it to the 24-hour clock.

The Precision Radio Controlled LCD Alarm Clock does not remain lit throughout the night. In normal time display, you would need to press the 'snooze/light' button to turn on the backlight. The backlight will illuminate the screen for 5 seconds.
