Great little alarm clock
I needed a small alarm clock for my bedside and this is it, ilove that if you need to see the time in the night you just touch the button and it lights up for you to see then goes out again. The alarm noise starts off gently and gradually get louder and changes the alarm sound gentle. What more could you want for the low price and radio controlled so keeps perfect time.

Great little alarm clock
I bought this a couple of weeks ago. Could have done with some instructions or explanation of how this works. It took a few hours for the clock to start to.work.properly.

I love it. Does exactly what it needs to. It's accurate, bright, compact and readable. To all the people saying that they need to manually put the time in, you don't. You just need to wait till it sorts itself out. Turn it on and go make a cuppa, whatever. It'll connect when the symbol stops flashing.

As per previous response, no there is no way of setting time zone on this model, so really it is best suited to keeping it in the UK.
Bear in mind you can not disable the automatic resync of time wirelessly, which occurs every night. Therefore every morning the clock will have re-set to GMT BST , wherever you are in the world.
This is something you cannot stop, unless your bedroom is in a basement or you build a Faraday cage for the alarm clock out of tinfoil.

It is literally the worse alarm clock to set up! It is near on impossible to set the time deposits following the instructions let alone trying to set an alarm! Rubbish

The question was Can you see the time at night without pressing a button?
The answer is no, if you press the top button the blue back light illuminates for a few seconds to read the time.
If it was on all the time the batteries would not last long and I like a dark bedroom.

Not recommended for taking abroad.
The clock doesnt have a feature to change timezone - it is fixed to UK GMT or BST.
You cant change the time manually to circumvent this because the clock automatically syncs every night using RF to UK time regardless of where you are in the world, and this is a feature which cannot be disabled.
So the clock will be wrong every morning and your alarm will go off at weird times.

Radio Controlled does not mean its a radio to listen to, the clock time is corrected via a radio signal.
Its a pity the Argos staff do not understand that.
