A child safety lock means you're always in charge. The padded fabric panel is soft to the touch so gentle on your youngster. Regret buying this
Used on a single bed. Instructions were very poor so had to be put together twice. If you have a deep mattress it is not very practical. Seems over complicated but appreciate this may be for safety. Kept this but wish I had done my homework and looked around

The item itself is well made and good quality, but very fiddly to put together, not helped by the extremely poor instructions/pictures. I spent ages trying to put two of the pieces together only to realise that I had the piece that should have been fitted on the other side. I also wasn't aware that it was only suitable for a single bed, and not adjustable enough to extend the straps to the other side of the bed, so I'm hoping it will still hold just from the weight of the mattress. It was only purchased in order to prevent my rather large dog from falling off the bed while asleep which hopefully will never happen, but at least I will sleep better when he starts moving around. Other than that it was a nice piece of equipment and good value for money.

Smart bed rail
This is just what we needed for our visiting grandson, however it is very fiddly to put together and needed two of us at one point. Virtually impossible to do this single handed.

Toddler mattresses usually measure W70 × L140 cm. The Bed Rail is designed to fit beds sized L160–200 cm by W75–90 cm, and is suitable for mattresses between 8–23 cm deep.
Because a toddler bed is smaller than the minimum size this rail is designed for, it would not fit a toddler bed or toddler‑sized mattress.
