The Nextbase Hardwire Kit allows you to install your dash cam permanently into your vehicle. It's a simple 'plug and play' solution for all Nextbase Series 2 Dash Cams and eliminates the need for using the 12/24V adapter. It provides all the components for direct connection to the car's power supply. New features include a 90-degree angle connector for simple and easy connection straight into your Nextbase dash cam.
It has an LED indicator light to show whether the cable is connected, and the dash cam is on. And it offers a neat and professional installation to connect directly to your car's fuse box.

Nextbase dash cam hardwire kit
I bought this product as I have a Nextbase dash cam. Although good it has not got the low profile mini fuse adapter which is what I needed for my Nissan Qashqai. Nextbase were very good and their customers services sent me the adapter I required. It is a shame it is not a default in the kit along side the other three adapters that were in the box. I found some other 3rd party kits have this adapter alongside the other three.

Exactly what I needed
I needed that particular power lead and not the OBD port type that is constantly on and drains your battery potentially, so I needed this type exactly. Halfords didn’t have it but Argos did. Ordered, picked up and even fitted it in the car park. A simple solution to my problem. My advice get this type and not the OBD (purple port) type. Connect into the appropriate fuse, best one that powers off when ignition is off 😀

The supplier has advised the following for the Nextbase Series 2 Hardwire Kit:
"The Hardwire Kit is for use with all Nextbase Series 2 Dash Cams including 122, 222, 222X, 322GW 422GW, 522GW and 622GW. It is for the front only Dash Cams. The Nextbase Rear Window Camera comes with a 6.5m USB cable already which needs to be connected into the front facing Dash Cam."

Hi there,yes it is. I've got 222xr installed a month ago. Just make sure you have the right size spare fuses ,the one in the box didn't fit in my Kia Sportage. The installation is pretty straightforward, I did myself in about 2 hrs. And also before you fit your dashcam put it on charge for couple of hours, make sure the backup battery is fully charged . It is better for use the shock feature in your dashcam.
It's compatible with the 522gw , can't see there been a problem with the Kia , but not 100% on that ..
