With a temperature range of -45C to 200C and weather-resistant coating which allows use both in the kitchen & outdoors on the BBQ. Features a 180mm extra long probe with 1cm guide markings.

Slow thermometer!
The temperature reading slow creeps up to the actual temperature. Which is useless! If you want to temper chocolate, the chocolate heats up a lot faster than the thermometer can keep up! Wouldn’t recommend it!

The temperature range is - 45 to 200C. So yes, you can use it for yogurt making, around 35C.

"The extra-long 180 mm probe is perfect for using to check temperatures when making jam, confectionary, BBQ, meat temperatures and more." As no reference is made to Yoghurt, we'd have to advise that it's not suitable.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Heston Blumenthal Indoor/Outdoor Meat Thermometer: I can confirm this requires 1 x LR44 Battery. It would not be suitable for use with rechargeable batteries.

It does not say anything about rechargeable batteries.
