About this product
Well, where do we start on this beaut? The Kaycie midsleeper with slide is a great bed for kids who want all the fun of a high bed without the height, with some extra play value thrown in. Made from solid wood, it's strong and sturdy. Make a den underneath for fun and adventure, or use the space for storage. But best of all. . . It's got to be the slide. We repeat, IT'S GOT A SLIDE! A great space-saving choice for small rooms, this bed is sure to wear them out. It's also just the right height for a kiss goodnight.
Comes with a Habitat Kids Rae Comfort Open Coil Single Mattress, a foam free open coil mattress that doesn't need turning. It is soft and supportive for a good night's sleep, and also has a smooth anti allergy knit cover for peace of mind.
Your little big dreamer will love this bed - we love it too! And to keep things simple for you, we've designed it so you can position the ladder at either end to suit your space. Recommended for ages 6+.

My daughter says a slide is better than a desk!
Pros * My 5 year old Daughter loves that it has a slide unlike the first one I showed her. (Make sure you get both instructions out so know when to build slide as ones with bed don’t show with slide) * Great value for money. Got cheaper than original price as had a deal on. * Mattress included which is comfy for her. * Frees up space in her room. Cons * Some screws were hard to get in but got there in end. (marked red in photo) * Shame the steps aren’t the other way as she said hurts her feet a little. * It’s a little creaky but doesn’t affect when she is asleep. * No predrilled holes for the slats so have to measure out (Instructions didn’t state need a tape measure)

Easy to put together but..
Purchased this bed about 3 weeks ago for my 3 year old, Perfect size for her. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it for older/bigger children as it’s recommended for 6+ It seems sturdy enough, my only issue is that it’s quite creaky and loud which is a little annoying. Other than that it is a lovely bed.

bed bed bed
Technically easy to put together, although there were a couple of pre-drilled holes that weren't deep enough so I couldn't the screws in. Other than that, it's pretty good and kiddo loves it.

Fantastic
After reading the reviews U decided to purchase this mid sleeper for my autistic grandson he loves “dens” and also the added bonus of the slide his mum has attached curtains around the edge which has made the den and my grandson who is four years old spends many many hours in there with his I pad and toys the curtains are closed which gives him the security he likes to feel I can honestly say this has been one if the best purchases I have made. The mid sleeper is strong and sturdy and definitely worth the money

Hello there
I can advise the following for: Argos Home Kaycie Mid Sleeper, Slide & Kids Mattress - White.
Yes, the slide on the Argos Home Kaycie Mid Sleeper is made of wood, as the product is constructed from a solid wood frame. The bed frame itself is strong and sturdy due to its solid wood construction, and the slide is an integrated part of this wooden structure.

Hi Chris
Our suppler says "Yes it´s possible to place a mattress on the floor under the mid sleeper to make some sort of a bunk bed.
There is 77.1cm from the floor to the underside of the slats on the mid sleeper.
PS. The requirement in EN 747 standard between upper side of slats in bottom bunk and underside of slats in upper bunk is min. 75,0cm
Should be Ok to place a mattress under the mid sleeper on the floor."
