About this product
The Kaycie Mid Sleeper with slide gives your child all the fun of a high bed without the extra height, and space underneath to create a den or store toys and books. The solid wood frame provides strong, reliable support through play and sleep. A built-in slide turns bedtime into an adventure. It's a practical choice for smaller bedrooms, keeping the sleeping area raised while leaving floor space free. The ladder fits at either end, so you can set it up to suit your room layout. Includes a Habitat Kids Rae Comfort single mattress with 192 open coil springs and an anti-allergy knit cover.
The medium-feel mattress supports growing bodies and doesn't need turning, so there's one less thing to think about. A safety rail runs along the sleeping platform, and the bed must be fixed to the wall for stability. It's the right height for a goodnight kiss and comfortably fits children aged six and over. The white finish works with most bedroom styles. Delivered flat-packed with clear assembly instructions, two people recommended. Maximum user weight 120kg. Mattress depth should not exceed 16cm for safe use.

Cheap wood
Very cheap wood. The slide part was chipped when I got it and the frame. Took a few hours to fit and will have to be taken apart again to be sent back for replacement parts

Overall great bunk bed.
Bought for my 6 year old son and he loves it. Feels sturdy and safe and is really comfortable. He spends ages going up and down the slide too! Assembly was pretty straightforward, even as someone who doesn’t do much DIY, though a little sore on the hands. Only negative I would say are the ladders to climb up being vertical rather than horizontal can be sore on the feet especially without socks on.

Pros * My 5 year old Daughter loves that it has a slide unlike the first one I showed her. (Make sure you get both instructions out so know when to build slide as ones with bed don’t show with slide) * Great value for money. Got cheaper than original price as had a deal on. * Mattress included which is comfy for her. * Frees up space in her room. Cons * Some screws were hard to get in but got there in end. (marked red in photo) * Shame the steps aren’t the other way as she said hurts her feet a little. * It’s a little creaky but doesn’t affect when she is asleep. * No predrilled holes for the slats so have to measure out (Instructions didn’t state need a tape measure)

Easy to put together but..
Purchased this bed about 3 weeks ago for my 3 year old, Perfect size for her. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it for older/bigger children as it’s recommended for 6+ It seems sturdy enough, my only issue is that it’s quite creaky and loud which is a little annoying. Other than that it is a lovely bed.

Our suppler says "Yes it´s possible to place a mattress on the floor under the mid sleeper to make some sort of a bunk bed.
There is 77.1cm from the floor to the underside of the slats on the mid sleeper.
PS. The requirement in EN 747 standard between upper side of slats in bottom bunk and underside of slats in upper bunk is min. 75,0cm
Should be Ok to place a mattress under the mid sleeper on the floor."
