Super Urn
This was bought i a panic as we realised we needed something to be able to cater for 300 people . We found that the urn was very easy to use. It heated up quickly and maintained temperature efficiently. It was easy to fill and very easy to carry to the sales point. It was in constant use for thee full days and looked as good as new when it was packed away safely to be brought out for our next event.

Great product - High capacity
Great product and surprised I could get it from Argos. Large water heater required as boiler being replaced but needed hot water. Easy to set up, up and running in minutes and provided boiling water in no time and then kept it hot throughout the day. Great product

Excellent product and was a replacement for one I purchased many years ago. I needed this at very short notice, and it was very convenient to visit the Milton Keynes store to collect. Perfect for also cooking seeds and pulses.

Just the job!
I bought two of these for a large Parish event and there were so useful. Made coping with large numbers very straightforward. Heated up quickly and now in regular use instead repeatedly filling kettles

It's Urnt it's place.
I bought the urn to replace a similar one which failed after many years use at my Bowls Club. It produces enough water for 40 + teas without any problems. It looks good and if it lasts as long as its predecessor it is well worth the money.

Hello maxthecat33,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Swan SWU20L Urn - Stainless Steel: ''For our Swan URN, once the water has reached temperature, the urn will switch itself off. As the water cools or if more cold water is added, the urn will switch itself back on again. Typical temperature range on auto models is 96C to 85C.
How to use:
Fill the urn as directed above, taking care not to over (or under) fill. Connect to suitable mains supply. Set the Simmerstat to setting 4 or 5. The urn will heat the water. From cold, this will take between 30 mins and 1 hour depending on the size of the urn and ambient temperature in the room. Once the water has boiled, you can set the Simmerstat at a lower setting to save energy. A setting of around 3-4 is usually sufficient.''
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A.
