Russell Hobbs always trustworthy though not a very reassuring sound in the spring department, almost like its not engaging. Still haven't mastered the burn scale on the toasting dial - I needed to enhance it with Tippex as we couldn't read it (black against black) As ever, only toasts one side if you put in only one piece of bread. This is one thing safe from AI :)

No. It accommodates the thickness of the bread but not the length of a standard loaf. I have to press the bread in to make it fit. Would not recommend.
No, if you use standard sized 800g loaf slices, it will fail to toast the top quater of the slice.
Really only suitable for mini loaves 400g and crumpets
