About this product
This Mercia Wooden Wessex Summerhouse creates a welcoming space for entertaining or relaxing while you enjoy your garden views. It's made from PEFC-certified wood with shiplap construction that resists the elements. Four large glazed windows and French doors fill the interior with natural light. The covered veranda extends your usable space and provides shelter from sun and rain.
The tongue-and-groove floor supports frequent use and heavier furniture without flexing or creaking. Thick wooden framing supports the cladding internally for a rigid structure. The building comes with a lock and key for security. Assembly requires two people and the wood needs treating with a quality wood treatment before use. You'll have a bright, inviting retreat that brings comfort and style to your outdoor space.

Arrived damaged! over a month wait for new parts!
Avoid! The summerhouse arrived damaged on the 10/5, was told new parts would take 7-14 working days, new parts did not arrive until 15/6! (36 days!) Over a month of waiting over 50 emails multiple phone calls and I STILL don’t have an apology or explanation for the delay! Just a truly Insulting offer of £60. The summerhouse has splits, is bowed, and some of the panels haven’t been nail gunned all the way along! (looks like the nail gun ran out and wasn’t noticed) the floor is weak and had to be reinforced! I Also had to buy better roof felt as felt supplied was so thin and useless. MGP customer service were dismissive and didn’t care that the product I received was split cracked and bowed! Even professionals had difficult getting it to go up properly it took them over 10 hours (paid a set rate not per the hour thank god!) They were shocked at the condition and said they have never seen one this bad. The doors wouldn’t even go together! I would not recommend this product to ANYONE. I would AVOID!

Easy to assemble
Bought this summer house as seemed like a great deal. The process of putting it get her was straight forward only problem is the wood seems a little weak on the floor so I have had to get some extra wood to reinforce the floor. There was a few gaps when the summer house was fully built however I would recommend some filler to prevent rain getting in. The felt they provided wasn't the best quality and rips pretty easily but luckly I had some spare. Overall its a decent build seems sturdy enough.

Having checked I can see this does come with roof felt. Our supplier has also advised a floor is included with this summerhouse, but not a base. We recommend a hard wearing, flat, level base such as concrete, paving slabs, decking or a timber frame.

Argos do not off an assembly service for this Mercia Wooden 12 x 8ft Premium Wessex Summerhouse, this will be Kerbside delivery only.
Our suppliers will be doing your delivery, not the usual Argos vehicle and the suppliers will contact you to book a delivery date. You may wish to ask them if they can offer this service for you however, there may be an additional charge for this service.

The supplier has advised the following for the Mercia Wooden 12 x 8ft Premium Sussex Summerhouse:
We advise that bases are the same size as/or slightly smaller than the base dimensions of the garden building.
This is to ensure that rainfall can move away from the building instead of pooling by the sides and underneath the building.
The base dimensions of this particular product are:
Base width 2350MM x base depth 2953MM, base depth (including veranda) 3590MM.

Please ensure the Shed is Waterproof before installing electricity.
Please discuss with your qualified electrician what items will be used within the Mercia Wooden 12 x 8ft Premium Sussex Summerhouse asking for each products suitability to ensure the items are safe to use in a wooden building.
