My vacuum of choice
This is my second Vax Air Stretch Pet cylindar vacuum. It is my vacuum of choice. Powerful suction, versatile, easy to maintain, lasts forever if you look after it and even comes with a spare hose. What more could you ask?

Very strong suction middle filter seems to always get block tho and if you have a bad back don’t get this hoover as you can’t move it by pulling the tube as it is rubber material not plastic so it just stretches when you pull it and have to pick the hoover up to move it

Great product for suction
I bought this for my Mother who’s 82 years old. I used it the first time to be honest the product has great suction as it picked up a lot from 1 bedroom through lounge dining kitchen area and hallway. The only problem was that the brush head is extremely hard to push on carpet I had to put it on hard floor setting and it is still hard for me. My mother can not use it at all which means her hovering is left to me which as i said is very difficult.

Difficult To Use
Vacuum is well built but is difficult to move around. The floor attachment only has 2 small wheels which causes it to stick on the carpet and difficult to push. Decreasing the suction pressure helps but is less efficient. Also the long tube makes it impractical to store. In my experience better off with an upright.

The telescopic tube measures at 47cm retracted, and when fully extended measures at 75cm.

Not at all. I bought the vacuum specifically for pet hair and it doesnt pick up anything on carpet or rugs. The best I could get it to do was get some of the hair if I used the pet tool on my hands and knees, inch by inch. The pet tool clogs with hair quickly, the standing floor attachment picks up no hair.

The filters for the Vax Air Stretch Pet Corded Bagless Cylinder Vaccum Cleaner can be washed. The instruction manual advises the following:
Rinse the filter under water (40°C Max). Leave to dry for 24 hours before placing back in the machine.

Yep. Answered my own question. Found out from Vax that the power cable is only 6m in length. Henry has 10m to 12m depending on the model. Off to buy a 10m extension cable to make up the for the shortfall.
