I brought this to replace my current catflap which the dog managed to break! Ordering, payment and collection were very easy though I have yet to fit it. Shouldn't be a problem as it's the e act same one

Replacement cat flap
This was a replacement for a cat flap that we fitted 16 years that had gone brittle and so we already had the hole. The process was therefore quite easy although screws did require cutting down.

Fiddler to fit, and you’ll need a fair few tools.
Not the easiest tho to fit. Yes you’re going to need a jigsaw, Stanley knife, small Phillips head etc, but you also have to cut down the bolts to fit anything other than the thickest of doors. A few different sizes would only cost pennies, and does everyone possess a fine metal saw and a vice????

Good cat flap. Rubbish description of dimensions
The dimensions of the product online and different to what is on the box. I ordered a cat flap and collected a dog flap. Fortunately, the Manager had a smaller size in stock. The dimensions online and on the box for this item were also incorrect, but this time I did get a cat flap and the Manager refunded the difference. Argos - you need to correct the information you provide online. Product is fine once you get the right one.

This was to replace an old dog flap, which was a different make. It was extremely fiddly to fit, the nuts that go on the bolts are really very tiny and the bolts are not screw-top, so it was difficult to tighten the nuts because they kept turning.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the PetSafe Staywell Original 2-Way Pet Door - Medium White: Normally rectangular dog flaps are not suitable for installation into glass.
Some of our concerns for installing dog doors in glass is due to dogs impacting the pet doors and surrounding areas at a greater speed and force than cats. This would cause more stress on the glass which could be magnified by using a larger cutout and a rectangular cutout due to the stress concentrations at the corners of the cutout.

Given that your cat is 17 years old and not very strong, it might be a bit challenging for her to push through the flap, especially if she has any mobility issues.
