Sturdy enough cat flap
Bought this after storm Darragh riped the flap right out of our old Petsafe cat flap. I thought 'magnetic' meant that the door would simply be held shut between uses and that the cat would just push it open upon entry and exit. I didn't realise that the cat was required to wear a dongle of sorts on his collar, which releases the magnetic catch on his approach. Given the number of collars he loses, on a regular basis, this type of flap is not suitable for him. For other, more co-operative cats, it'll probably be great! It's well made and of a nice design. Petsafe Staywell is easy to fit and our old one still looked great after a decade of use.

Hello There.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for PetSafe Staywell Magnetic 4 Way Locking Classic Cat Flap.
The Staywell Classic Magnetic 4-Way Locking Cat Flap comes with a built-in tunnel section that is 60mm (about 2⅜") deep, measured from the back of the inner frame.
You cannot add extra tunnel extensions to make it deeper. So what you get is fixed at 60mm.

The magnet doesnt need to touch the flap. You can hear it operate the lock when you place it near to the tunnel.
