Great picture
Almost two weeks since my new 65” Sony Bravia 711 arrived from John Lewis. My observations following the tv being fitted on the wall: At first It appears to overwhelm the room but, you soon get over that when you perform the initial installation and see the clarity of the objects on screen, the vibrant colours and the many different viewing options for you to choose from. The on screen instructions make ot easy for you to complete the initial installation. My advice to new owners like me who are moving up from much smaller (49) and older tv’s (9) is to begin with ‘ standard ‘ offerings unless you are going straight to Cinema or gaming consoles mode. The remote controls are designed to enable you to easily access the colour contrast and sound options as frequently as you wish, so no need to rush into your decisions. Linking the sound with a Sony theatre bar 6 is easy and the experience of seeing and hearing the cinema effects is fantastic. I have linked my tv to my Sky Q box and the Sky handset works well until I shut down for the evening; I have to use the Sony Core controller to shut down. Which leads me to another issue I have yet to resolve, as you move through recorded audio, streamed transmissions and live tv, the syncing between audio and visual output slips a little and the only way I have found to correct this is to turn off/turn on again with the Sony remote and, although inconvenient, resolves the issue. Overall, I would say the smooth motion of the ball during football matches (who knew grass was so green) and the vivid, brightness and uniformity of the images in, for example YouTube videos and cinema screenshots have transformed the enjoyment of tv viewing in our home.

Excellent TV.
I Bought this new tv from Richer Sounds a few weeks ago. It is the Bravia 7 ii 50" version. I have found it that it has excellent picture quality and is a massive improvement to my old KD-49XH9505. I did a lot of research with online reviews before making the decision to buy this model which gives you idea, but nothing beats real world experience. I have found the viewing angles to be much better, screen uniformity to be top notch (no DSE or vignetting in the corners) and clearer sharper and colourful picture on all sources dvd, virgin 360 box and streaming netflix, prime, youtube tv built in apps. Not to keen on the calibrated modes for netflix and prime, but you can turn those off. I found the setup out of the box fairly easy but initially the factory default for brightness is very low leading to a dull picture. This is down to the ECO mode set to full default and peak luminance to be set to preference. The screen has a semi gloss finish very similar to my old tv and for me reflection is not an issue in a medium light lounge. The sound from the TV is good (but not perfect) but a vast improvement on the old tv. Overall a great TV and would recommend.

Fantastic colours, deep blacks, phenomenal sound
After selling TVs for the last 26 years from CRT, Plasma’s, OLED, LED TVs and Mini LED, I have never seen a picture so clear, The colour spectrum is truly outstanding. would highly recommend the Sony Bravia 7 II The sound on the TV is a awesome. I’ve paired it up with a Sony U theatre neckband. Can’t believe how good these sound. My next purchase will be a subwoofer to pair up with the TV. No need for a samba

Premium tv, similar to Oled, without any burn!
Had the tv a week or two & had time to play around with settings & calibrating to my standards & really liking this tv! Upgraded from a 7yr old 65” 4k Sony Bravia which still works fine & parents now enjoying! But wanted newer model, not an oled as concerned regards screen burn but wanted the similar brightness this true RGB screen could offer. The 120hz refresh rate for the smoothness of gaming was also a requirement & works well with the PS5 in the lounge. Dont game as much on console as do on pc as the 60hz on previous tv was lot lower than the 144hz of my gaming monitor but this works great now! Had to tinker a bit to get it to work, mostly as was set up through my 7.1amp & realised that although had 4k through put & the right hdmi cable for fast data, the amp could only kick out 60hz, so now cabled direct to tv. But you have to have 120hz on the game as not all have that output. So took a while to check working correctly but looks really good. Pretty sure does a good job of scaling some older games too. Whether that’s the PS5 or the tv or combo of both not sure but looks really good! There a lot of settings I still haven’t tinkered with that much, just enough that happy with the display. Sound was really good compared to the old model when first set up & before run through my amp. The speakers on the back of the tv did a really good job, so if setting up without an amp you wouldn’t necessarily need a sound bar but to get the best sound, think will always need some sort of bar or amp just due to the thickness or thinness of modern tvs. Is little thicker than old Bravia so can see that improvement with speakers & was noticeably heavier! Took couple of attempts to hook on wall, mainly as the vesa mount holes on this tv were lower on back, so rode the tv too high up the wall! But wasn’t issue once resolved. Can’t say have found any faults so far. OS is pretty snappy for usual android set up, can get round the apps & usual colour & contrast settings easy enough. There is 2 remotes for the tv which haven’t looked into why?! The “main” one is backlit when pick up, which is great, like my shield tv box & has added bonus of being rechargeable! Which again is great & saves battery swaps etc. nice touch. Remote has useful short links to apps & very responsive with my amp volume, where other there was slight delay. The other remote however I can’t work out its purpose, though it looks the same as most other general Sony remotes, not the premium type. So whether some prefer the new or the old I guess Sony covered both bases! Still preferred my old Bravia metal silver remote, though was quite a long slender remote, felt bit more premium! But each their own! Would recommend this tv highly if you want a great premium tv with amazing screen brightness, very little light bleed around the blacks & great colour & resolution. Smooth gameplay if gaming and plenty of features & settings.

Huge jump forward from my previous Bravia.
Amazing picture quality for movies & gaming. Well done upgrades from old 55" LCD HD Bravia Google Tv & PS4. PS5 Pro & RGB LED, new Android system with much faster processing, Bluetooth headphones, voice communication, remotes, design. SONY impressed me again.

Great picture quality, but overall disappointing.
Bought this TV, having had Panasonic for years, but no longer available, so we choose the Bravia because of quality of the colour of the picture. However whilst the colur is good, it is not a user friendly TV in terms of information, The TV guide you have to move across each programme for it to be highlighted so you can read the info, the remotes have buttons that are hard to see, and why did we need 2 remotes? And why put an on/off switch in such an awkward place. Maybe we will get used to this TV, but not an instant love.

Great Picture
Excellent picture and sufficient sound that a sound bar is not needed. Easy to set up apps and inputs

Lovely telly
Lovely telly. Took ages to install/setup, but once done it’s brilliant. I got a free sound bar and sub-woofer with it and that’s nice too.
