About this product
The Brother 3 or 4 thread overlock machine is capable of trimming, seaming and overlocking the fabric edge in one easy operation. The differential feed and pressure control allows perfect seaming on virtually any fabric type. Threading is easy due to the machines colour coded threading guide and the single action thread tension release lever. The machine has an LED sewing light and a built-in carrying handle allowing easy portability.

Wouldn’t be without it!
This is the second machine I’ve purchased ( one for personal use one for a theatre group I make costumes for) Despite hearing how tricky these machines are to thread , I found it pretty easy to do due to the clear graphics on te machine. I love the fact I can gontrol the speed of stitching which isn’t always possible on others. It’s lightweight , very portable and brings a very neat and professional look to the outfits I make. Also now realise I can use it for seams as well as edging. All in all , very happy . Oh and the price was right.

sturdy Brother machine, brilliant Argos service!
My old overlocker broke down so I donated it to ‘Tools With a Mission’. (Brilliant charity btw.) Went on a search for a new one, but didn’t want to spend a fortune and I only need to overlock seams. This Brother 734DS was the one in chose and Argos had the best price online, free delivery plus I like to shop with a company I can trust. Also as a bonus, there was an offer of double Nectar points, so I was very happy. It then arived less than 2 days later! Amazing and all packed in a really sturdy box, ready threaded which is a great feature, because I often forget how to thread the machine, so I just cut the threads, tie on a ew colour and overlock for a bit. I would recomend this machine to a competent beginner or anyone who sews quite a lot. It feels sturdy and I like the colour.

I was working on a dressmaking project when my overlocker machine gave up the ghost! Searched on line for reviews and prices and found exactly what I wanted at Argos. Paid online and picked it up within an hour. No waiting, excellent help loading my trolley. Job done!

Good value basic overlocker
Fairly basic machine but easy to set up and use. Very happy with my purchase. Seems sturdy. It doesn't include a tray to catch fabric scraps.

It depends on the surface you use 9t on. I have two muffler mats under mine to help with vibration and noise.

Only just bought this Overlocker and havent used it yet. However I have the same problem with my sewing machine if I use cheap thread. Its worth trying a good quality thread if you havent done so to see if that resolves the problem. Gutterman thread is excellent and I dont now use any other brand.
