A compact, lightweight wheelchair ideal for the occasional or new user. Folds in seconds to go in the boot of your car, a coach or aeroplane giving you the freedom to go where you wish. The Aidapt compact lightweight steel wheelchair is a great purchase. I noticed that my elderly mums mobility has become a challenge yet she stills wants me to take her shopping to enjoy her favourite pastime! This wheelchair ticks all the boxes. It's great value for money, easy to fold and load and is easy to move around. It looks smart and I am able to move it easily. I just love it

Great features & folds in seconds to store
This is a great transit wheelchair, invaluable for transferring elderly relatives from car to appointments and on outings. I found it easy to manoeuvre. Also it folds up in seconds to put in the car and the handles click down to reduce its size further. Very happy with it

It did the job
Bought quickly for my husband whilst in hospital, allowed him to get out of the ward. Then used outside during his recovery. Not great on bumpy area due to small wheels, but good everywhere else. Easy to fold and transport. It did the job :-)

The wheelchair features adjustable, swing-away footrests, which means you can:
Adjust the height of the footrests to suit the user's leg length.
Swing them to the side for easier access when getting in or out of the chair.
However, these footrests are not elevating leg rests, they do not raise the legs to a horizontal or angled position.

I can advise the measurements are at the widest point so this is the width from the outside of the wheel on one side to the other.

Each handle has a quick-release button, which allows for the handle to fold in to the body of the wheelchair. Use a 13mm wrench to tighten the hexagonal bolt directly under the quick-release button. This will stop the handle from popping out unexpectedly.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Aidapt Steel Compact Transport Wheelchair: ''my Technical team have suggest a little spray of WD40 should resolve this issue.
Can you also check the customer has checked the item for damages etc as per the manual before they have assembled the product.''
