nice quality fire
I purchased this item and it was delivered on time 3 days later. Once I had removed it from the box I noticed the flame effect part inside the fire had moved in transit and since the 2 x front doors do not open I had to take the back cover off and replace the flame effect panel into position then re-attach the back cover which was easy enough to complete. I have installed the fire and must say it looks lovely and heats the room in minutes.

Should come with a warning
The fire looks absolutely great and heats the room really well. My only comment is that the doors should come with a warning label. They look like they should open but they don't and I think are not supposed to. We tried to open the doors and they move a little but chip the paint round the base of the handle when you try to turn the handle. Fairly easily touched up with white paint but it shouldn't be necessary to do that. A simple label saying do not attempt to open would have been enough.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Adam Woodhouse 1.8kW Electric Freestanding Stove - White: The fire will make a noise as it includes the electric fan, however the noise should not be heard when TV is on.

The supplier has advised the following for the Adam Woodhouse 1.8kW Electric Freestanding Stove - White:
It is a free-standing stove but the back is plain. It'll be the same colour as the front. You would also need to consider the fact that the power cord comes out from the back so that will be visible too.
