The Birlea Phoenix Small Double End Lift Ottoman Bed gives you a practical way to store bedding, spare pillows, or seasonal clothes without taking up extra floor space. It's designed for smaller bedrooms where storage is short but needed. The end-lift ottoman opens with gas pistons that take the weight, so you can reach what's underneath without awkward lifting. There's a sprung slatted base that gives natural bounce and adjusts where pressure is applied, keeping your mattress well supported. The solid rubberwood frame and headboard provide lasting structure through daily use.
The ottoman provides plenty of hidden capacity for bulky duvets, pillows or items you want out of sight. Wooden slats support the mattress firmly and help air circulate around it. The white finish works with most bedroom colours. It arrives flat-packed for self-assembly, with two people recommended and all fixings included for the headboard. Mattress sold separately. Backed by a manufacturer's 1 year guarantee.

I bought this for my guest room to free up some space and gain extra storage it proved to be a great purchase on both of these instructions are not very clear but if you take your time and reread them alls ok would definetly recommend

No floor to base of the bed..so any storage will be sitting on your floor or carpet. For the price its not worth it. Defeats the purpose or which is meant to be for. Would not recommend. Theres better out there thats cheaper and is complete. Its like having a drawer with no bottom on it.

Arrived in good time. The wood is good quality. The instructions were straight forward to follow. Definitely takes two to assemble. Finished product looks great and there is plenty of storage. Worth noting the storage base is placed boards not sealed. Definitely worth it for us.

Great bed, looks great and feels sturdy!
It is either a two person job or a big job for one person, but once it’s together it feels sturdy, is good quality and looks great in our daughters bedroom. The storage underneath is brilliant and is so useful and we plan on our little girl having this bed for many years to come!

Excellent customer service arranging delivery, the bed although comes as flat pack had clear instructions and relatively easy to assemble, don’t forget to order your mattress separately, the bed is just as the photograph described, excellent storage space, looks lovely in the room

The bed came missing parts, then sent the missing part but in the wrong colour. We have now sent it back a week ago and still haven't recieved a refund. Do not buy supplier is awful and rude when you contact them.

I can confirm the full width of the headboard is 135cm, which is the full width of the bed frame itself. The area size for the mattress is a UK standard Small Double which is 120cm x 190cm.

I would advise that the headboard is an integral part of this Birlea Phoenix White Small Double Ottoman Bed Frame - we would not advise you to build the bed without the headboard.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: Please see the below recommended mattress type;
Please note the mattress needs to be on the bed for the pistons to work. Birlea beds are only suitable for a UK standard size mattress and the recommended maximum mattress height is 203 mm.
