Frustrating to use
Bought these to use with a surround sound system I bought. It has 2 European plugs so these sounded great. Managed to get one of these to work with one of the plugs, but struggled for about an hour to get the second plug in another one of these adapters. (advice: push the brown cover on the adapter back up using a thin implement if the plug fails to go in and try again and again until it works). This was such a pain to use. Unless you are actually travelling in the UK and need a temporary adapter, I'd just suggest you learn how to change a plug out as it is surprisingly easy.

It never fitted my TV Smart box connector so had to return it as it was Amercian connector but still never fitted..

Yes, the adaptor doesn't require the plug being inserted into it to have an Earth pin as the socket safety shutter moves aside from the pressure of the Live and Neutral pins being inserted (sometimes a little rocking up and down may be required to persuade the cover to begin moving).

A quick internet search shows that the Cayman Islands use a combination of type A (un-Earthed) and type B (Earthed) standard US sockets, neither of which can accept this UK plug pin style adaptor.
