Large dogs need a sturdy spot that holds its shape through repeated use. This Petface Oxford Oval dog bed is made from tough Oxford fabric with deep fibre-filled pocket construction that keeps the structure secure even after months of settling in. Suitable for large dogs, the removable inner pad reverses for 2 sleeping surfaces and the non-slip backing stops it sliding across floors when they circle before lying down.
The fibre-filled pockets maintain shape without flattening, which matters for heavier dogs who compress standard bedding quickly. Non-slip backing works on tiles and wooden floors to prevent movement during settle-ins. The reversible pad gives variety without buying a second bed. The wipe-clean base handles muddy paws and the removable pad can be freshened up separately to keep things hygienic between deep cleans.

Washes well
This is the second time I have purchased this dog bed it’s a great product as it’s waterproof and the dog finds it comfortable it washes and drys well (springer spaniel) the first one has lost some of its integrity from lots of washing but it is still going strong the second I have had it for two years which is good for a dog bed most recent purchase is great also and as there was 25% off was a savvy purchase excellent value for money

Best chew-proof dog bed we've tried!
This is the only dog bed that has stood up to my dog's urge to chew, so it's very durable. It's so comfortable he'll go chill out in it during the day and is a his safe place if someone he doesn't know comes round. The removable cushion bottom is convenient and easy to wash and dry. I bought the large which is very comfy, well shaped and supportive for my dog who likes to rest his head on the side. He's medium sized dog, but might come up a bit small for very large breeds. This bed is so good we've bought an extra one for upstairs.

Dog bed too small.
The sizing of the bed was totally wrong. I bought it for an alsation size dog but its head and legs hung outside the bed. I measured the bed against the product description dimentions and there was no comparison. Bed returned next day. Went to Jolleys and bought another. It was more expensive but at least the dog fitted in it.

This can be suitable for an adult English Bulldog, but the best fit depends on your dog’s size and how they like to sleep.
Most adult English Bulldogs weigh between 20–30kg, and many prefer to spread out rather than curl up. Because of their wide chests and stocky build, they often need a little more room than their length alone suggests.
Large size – great for average‑sized Bulldogs who curl up or like a snug bed.
Extra Large size – best if your Bulldog is on the larger side, likes to stretch out, or tends to overheat and prefers a more spacious sleeping area.

"Our beds are suitable to be used in the washing machine, however with any type of bedding there’s always a chance the bed will be misshapen and lumpy afterwards. It is unlikely any bed will come out of a washing cycle exactly as it went in; we recommend the below as a guide for best results.
Set your washing machine to a gentle cycle with cold water. For Petface beds we recommend a 30-degree wash on the lowest spin setting. Avoid using hot water, as it may cause the fabric to shrink or fade. Always use a pet-safe, hypoallergenic detergent to wash your dog bed.
Once the cycle is complete, remove the bed promptly. For best results, air dry the bed outside and regularly shake the bed to separate any clumps that may have formed during the washing process. While the bed is still damp, pull any areas that look misshapen back into place and keep shaking the bed at regular intervals until fully dried."

"There’s no zip, but it does have round metal vent holes. These could be an issue if your dog tends to chew the harder plastic or metal parts on their bed.
