Seems OK so far
I bought this for durability as we have other Tefal non-stick products that have lasted really well while many other own brand pans and baking trays have a very fragile coating which seems to peel off after almost no use and softens to a significant extent in the dishwasher. However only time will tell so I can't say whether it will live up to its claims. The red dot in the middle doesn't seem to be particularly useful - hard to detect any significant colour change or indeed what the right colour for cooking should be.

Lives up to its name -Excellence
We looked at a few alternatives and settled on the Tefal Titanium Excellence. So glad we did. It is very easy to clean. The high sides catch most of the splashes and the geometry of the pan gives a large flat base where 4 rashers of streaky bacon can lay flat and not have to curve halfway up the sides (as happened with our previous frying pan). Would have no hesitation recommending it to family and friends.

This is a great frying pan. I’ve bought other Tefal products before and the quality is always good. It was on special offer, so even better value. One of the things I like is the weight. It feels substantial and not likely to tip over on the hob..

This pan does not have a lid. Many frying pans are not manufactured with a lid. The designs and thickness of the rims of these pans will vary depending on the range. This can mean that generic lids or lids from other ranges of pans do not fit as well as lids that are manufactured and sold with a pan.

The cooking surface is slightly convexed to allow the pan to expand during cooking when it heat ups. The base of the pan should always be flat.
