This will hold a very thick and large toilet roll.
I purchased one last year for my new bathroom, and have bought another for the downstairs loo. It will take a thick, and large-sized toilet roll; many other ones do not protrude deep enough. It was disappointing that screws and wall plugs to fix it to the wall, were not included. Seriously, it can't cost that much to include them.

Variable results
Bought 2 of these toilet roll holders. One secured firmly to wall and looks good, the other one became loose very quickly. Tried to use Allen key to tighten and failed. It has been removed and returned.

It’s really hard to say, because it’s absolutely tiny. We can’t find ours either, but it’s definitely smaller than a regular one.

Sorry for the delay. I think it could be, although ours has a ring and not a bar. The only issue I can think of is that in the horizontal position, you can’t see the little grub screw that holds the plate to the base because it’s at the bottom. If you turn the plate, it will be visible, but it’s tiny.
