Great cameras, hub shouldn’t ask
Great cameras, hub shouldn’t ask you to connect using ethernet. Wasn’t clear why it didn’t work for me until, I realised my wifi is not the same as my hub, different networks, so wired connection was never going to work.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve likely got a collection of smart devices that all seem to want to do their own thing. I’ve recently added the Tapo H500 Central Hub to my setup, and it’s been a game-changer. It’s essentially the "brain" that finally brings order to the chaos. Why I’m Impressed: Hard Drive Support: This is the headline feature for me. Having the option to chuck in a 2. 5" SATA HDD/SSD (up to 16TB!) means I can finally stop worrying about individual SD card failures or cloud subscription fees. It’s local, it’s secure, and it’s massive. Centralized Management: Managing everything from one place is a dream. It handles up to 16 cameras and 64 sensors, keeping the ecosystem tidy. It’s nice to have a hub that actually manages the devices instead of just being a glorified bridge. Performance & AI: It’s snappy. The AI features (face recognition, person/vehicle detection) are processed locally, which is a big win for privacy. It’s essentially giving my existing cameras a "brain transplant" to make them much smarter without needing to replace them. The "Pro" Touches: The HDMI output is a clever inclusion. This is a great bit of kit even if you have a h200 you can use it side by side or simply just use the h500. Ai empowerment features are really good and sharpens up the accuracy. Get yourself a good quality ssd and your ready to go
