Customers Say
LG TV praised for great picture quality, sound, and value. Remote control and sound volume receive criticism. Setup can be tricky; some find user manual lacking. Overall, good performance and features for price.

Cheap but still a bit disappointing
Out of the box, no instructions. Eventually found some on the TV, but a quick guide to what the buttons did would have been nice and would have helped in finding the rest of the instructions. In installation process it suggests installing BBC iPlayer as a starting point for apps, which turned out to be a weird thing to do. Starts off with you being dumped into a home screen with large number of unexplained options. "Live TV" links you to some internet channel and unclear how you get to something like BBC1 (Turns out there are unexpectedly more options if you scroll down and that's one of them). The home screen shows apps, including the afore mentioned iPlayer. On selecting the iPlayer it whirls around for a bit, then tells you to scan a barcode for more information about why iPlayer isn't compatible with some hardware (yes, I player currently doesn't work on this TV). Some sections slow and unresponsive which is just confusing at to whether or not it's doing anything - e.g. you want channel 101, you put in the 1 which appears on the screen, then wait 5 seconds for a list of channels beginning 1 to be constructed and shown, then numbers you put in while that was happening may or may not appear, then a second or so later the channel will change and you can start the process again because you're probably on the wrong channel. The TV guide also takes a while to come up. I got a 32inch Bush TV earlier in the year for another room and it works quicker at most things - I'd have gotten another Bush, but they only had 2 HDMI connectors and I wanted to connect 3 things so I went for this TV instead.
