This solid pine bedside chest comes with 5 large and 5 small drawers, ideal for keeping all your essentials organised. T-shirts, PJ's, socks, jewellery, all now have their own home. Painted white with contrasting pine top and button handle, this table has charm.
The chest has a lacquered layer on top to create a smooth, hardwearing finish. Decorate it with family photos or a candle collection. There's a small clearance from the floor, so you can even get the vacuum under there.

Great product but small damage before arrival
I bought this chest of drawers to match the wardrobe and put each in an alcove in my bedroom. I had literally looked everywhere for these items as thr alcove depth was quite narrow snd most furniture would have drowned out the feature fireplace but this fits perfectly and complements the victorian iron cast fireplace. It took about 3 hours to build just because there are so many drawers. This can be built by one person but with two it is a lot easier. It is a solid piece of goid quality wooden furniture but the only downside was a dowel has somehow lodged into the top surface of the drawers presenting a 'hole' about 1inch . Luckily the TV unit legs actually covers the hole so Ive just taken 1 star of for that . I did mention this to the customer service representative when I was requesting missing oarts for another item and was offered a small discount ...as again no replacement was available....I'm still waiting for that to hit my account ! However in summary a lovely piece of furniture that was relatively easy to build ...just shame about the hole

Looked good BUT
Looked good but when put together there was a large gap above the drawers. I returned it, no problem. If I had put is together in correctly it would make sense but instructions followed very carefully. Shame there was no technical backup.

Complete waste of time
Terrible! First delivery had parts damaged. Arranged for complete replacement and only half of it turned up so sent it back and awaiting refund! Will not use Argos again for this type of thing! Trying to get through to customer service is not easy either!

Purchased recently, happy with the buy and quality, only issue was there were 3 screws and the L bracket missing, luckily I had both things similar in my garage. That’s why I have given 4 stars.

Really glad I bought this. Easy enough to put together (LISTEN to the instructions telling you not to use power-assisted screwdrivers though, or you'll thread them), just takes time. I managed as one person. Sturdy, spacious. Worth noting that the wood has been slightly finished already so it doesn't take a stain very well. However I've varnished and waxed and it's looking great.

Better in pictures than built!
Disappointed with the finish of this unit, uneven gaps, 2 drawers stick out, 2 other drawers catch, overall poor. Looks way better in the pictures. It is a sturdy unit but too much hassle to re-jig so will have to do till it breaks.

Poor value for money
Very poor quality considering the cost of it difficult to put together as things didn't match up as predrilled in wrong places,wrong screws included to long for size of wood ,all in all a bad experience

Bought these and had multiple wrong pieces. Also bought the side tables to match and these also had the wrong pieces and didn’t have appropriate holes to assemble. Returned both products but appears to be every time I buy off Argos there is an issue

The depth of the Argos Home Scandinavia 5 + 5 Drawer Chest - Two Tone is 40cm from the furthest points of the chest, which would include the top.

I am the person who posted the question. The answer as given is just a cut and paste of the information on the page.
It still does not explain how the height of 5 drawers with a depth of 9.65cm each can give a total of 93cm.
Please would a staff member check with the manufacturer. Alternatively, maybe someone who has bought this - or another in the series - would be kind enough to measure the depth of the drawers.
