Good performance and good value
I've had this toaster for a couple of weeks and so far it has performed well. The consistency and crispiness is easily adjusted. It holds 4 slices comfortably. It looks good - although I was unsure of the fact it has a plastic exterior, it is easy to clean. It is good value and Which recommended toaster.

Yes, you can toast 3 slices of bread in the Cookworks Illuminated 4 Slice Toaster - Black. Each pair of toasting slots is controlled by a carriage lever, so both levers need to be down if toasting 3 or 4 slices of bread.
