Great product!
We can view at a glance which Cat is where. Inside outside ans lock them in if necessary or set curphews. Also we are able.to view graphs and identify any pattern changes. Only downside was that the locking mechanism once got stuck but a quick spray of WD40 solved the issue as per manufacturer's instructions structures and has been fine since.

Microchip connect cat flap
I love being able to see my cat’s movements. I was a bit sceptical after seeing reviews about a delay in notifications, but I think that all depends on your WiFi strength, as I get instant notifications when he enters or exits. There is no delay at all. I have the hub in my living room where my router is and the cat flap is in my kitchen (with a wall in between) and there is no issues with it working or needing additional boosters. It does say a maximum of 10 meters and I would say it’s probably at the maximum but works fine.

Gives us peace of mind
We bought this cat flap for our new house. My partner and I partner both have full time jobs and work crazy shifts. The notifications give us a little peace of mind while we are at work, knowing that our cats are okay. Set-up and installation wasn't difficult at all, and the app works really well. One of our cats is a large 5kg male who seems to be able to use the cat flap fairly easily. The 'click' when the cat flap unlocks did spook him initially, but he got used to it within a day or so. Overall we are really pleased with the purchase!

Purrr-fect!
This is great! I can see the habits of each of my 5 cats and can control who can and can't go outside - which is particularly handy when there is a vat apt.

Once set up great for multicat households!
We found this a little bit fiddly to set up as it was difficult to get our nervous cat to put her head through to programme the flap. However once set up this works brilliantly. We brought the hub and flap together so have one cat who can go in and out but has a curfew from 9pm to 5am. At the moment the other two cats are indoor only as they have only moved in a few weeks ago. Once they can go out I can set seperate curfews for them if I wish. On indoor cat mode the flap won't open to let them out however should they get out by accident the flap will recognise them and let them back in. The nervous cat took a few days to get used to it as she's sensitive to any changes but other than that no problems at all

Great features
Bought this to allow my cats to go out and the dog to stay inside, the cats learnt very quickly to listen for the lock clicking before they go outside, the connect version also gives updates such as “Bella looked through the front door” or “Bella left through the front door” depending on your pets name and location of your flap, it tells you how long each pet as been outside and even notifies you if the flap thinks your pet it stuck and the support from sure flap is fantastic

Absolutely love this!
This has been a complete game changer for me. I have three (yes, three!!) cats, but for the last six months I have been feeding at least five. Two of the neighbourhood cats have taken a liking to the food I serve, and they were always coming in. The final straw came when they started spraying around the house, and terrorising my three in their own home. Since installing this cat flap, there's been no unwanted cats, and my three immediately became familiar with how to get in and out. I also love that I can lock it remotely and add a curfew. I don't like them being out overnight, so I have it automatically locking at a certain time. You can also lock it remotely if something changes - e.g. if there is a downpour and you don't want them going out and getting muddy paws! I've only had this a month, so I can't speak to its long-term performance, but I can tell you that at the moment, I LOVE it.

Brilliant
I bought this after one of my cats was sadly killed outside at night time, it gives me the reassurance that my other cat is in the house at night and I can monitor his comings and goings. I absolutely love this cat flap, it's great that it gives me a notification on my phone when he enters or leaves the house. Works brilliantly. That only thing is that the notifications are sometimes delayed, I sometimes hear him come through the flap and 10 minutes later I get the notification, not a big deal though. So easy to install as I had the previous sureflap microchip cat flap and the dimensions are the same. Very happy with my purchase.

Amazing technology for peace of mind
Fantastic product! Cats quickly got used to using it. Click is not too loud. I love being able to see they’re coming in and out throughout the day when I’m not at home and to set a curfew as I don’t like them out at night. They seem to realise they can’t go out as, whilst I can see on the app that they’ve looked through the flap occasionally at night, they don’t bang at the flap which I thought they might when it was locked. Well worth paying the extra for the amazing features and great app. No complaints at all.

Hi There,
SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap Connect with Hub
Having checked I can see the manual advises:
Make sure the manual lock is set to Position 1 before you begin.
Remove the battery compartment cover to reveal the 'Add a Pet' button, press it once and then release it.
When the Cat Flap is in ‘Add a cat with outdoor access’ mode, the catches will drop (you will hear a click) and the indicator light will flash GREEN once every second.
Place some dry food or a treat inside the tunnel as close to the clear plastic door as possible. The aim is to encourage your cat to put its head inside the tunnel or to pass through the flap in either direction. When your cat enters the tunnel to eat the food, the sensors inside the product activate and the Cat Flap saves the cat’s microchip ID in its memory.
Once your cat’s microchip ID has been successfully added, the indicator light will stop flashing and the catches will move up (lock) when the cat has moved away from the Cat Flap.
Thanks for using Q and A.
