About this product
The Habitat Nomad Chest keeps your bedroom organised with six generous drawers that'll swallow jumpers, jeans, bedding and everyday essentials. It's a wide design that gives you serious storage without needing a whole wardrobe. The oak-effect finish and dark metal handles bring that industrial edge, while smooth metal runners mean the drawers glide open easily every time. There's room for everything, so you can keep your space uncluttered and minimal. It works just as well in a bedroom as it does in a studio or open-plan living area.
The dark metal handles feel solid and add that authentic industrial touch throughout. Wall fixings are included for secure attachment, that's really important for taller storage units to prevent tipping. Self-assembly's needed, and it's easier with two people. All fixings and things are provided. The chest fits into most room styles, whether you're going for modern industrial or keeping things simple and functional.

Good size and quality
The build quality is good for the price and the instructions are easy to follow. A couple of the parts were damaged or missing but I ordered replacements from Argos. It’s all sturdy and doesn’t wobble and the runners have enough resistance to minimise the risk of the drawers being too loud when closing them. Only improvement would be if the base of the drawers were thicker or supported by a plank.

Finished article looks good and provides good storage. However, this was tricky to put together with many component parts and pretty useless instructions.

Another good item from Habitat
Bought this for our daughter for a Christmas present and she loves it. It looks modern and not bulky looking because of the iron work bottom being open. Self assembly was fairly straightforward and took 3 hours, there were extra screw pkts so just make sure you use the right size. Very sturdy and heavy when completed, so very pleased with this item. I have purchased similar items like this before and have not been disappointed in the quality.

Got this and 2 by 3 drawers. This one was a horror to put together so if you are not used to flatpack get the 3 drawer. Very happy now it is together, heavy but good.

Purchase if you value looks over functionality
A pain to assemble, instructions don't mention any spare screws and stuff that comes with it. Just buy an ikea instead tbh.

Really happy with this
Put this together last weekend and I'm super impressed. Takes a good few hours to assemble but all of the pieces were there and the drawers are big enough to fit plenty inside. Really love them!

Stylish chest of drawers
This set of drawers is stylish and sturdy, however sadly mine did come chipped and scratched. With that said I called Argos and they were great with resolving the matter. The drawers are very spacious, and perfect addition to my room

Not a job for an amateur
An interesting design let down by poor assembly instructions. Page 1 shows where to put the sliders but very few measurements are given and the drawings are unclear. As a graphic designer myself I think my opinion has some value.

To update on this, I refitted all the runners and they now work smoothly, however 3 out of 6 of the drawers fall out on their own! Any thoughts appreciated.

The Habitat Nomad 3 +3 Drawer Chest - Oak Effect 833/9649 would not match exactly with the Habitat Lloyd Single Cabin Bed Frame - Rustic Oak Effect 829/7080, Habitat Lloyd Cabin Bed With Headboard -Rustic Oak Effect 762/9525 and Habitat Lloyd Cabin Bed and Mattress - Dark Oak Effect 825/2393 as they are from different suppliers.

From a health and safety perspective we always recommend that every product whose height exceeds 60cm then a wall attachment device is needed in order to prevent unit overturning.
Should you decide not to do this then this needs to be at your discretion
