Surprised how easy these scales are to calibrate zero, and just how accurate they are reading exactly what the Hospital scales said 3 days ago. They feel very stable and comfortable when stepping into and off even when they are wet ,even when standing on the dial is so easy to read.

The instructions for use of the Salter Mechanical Bathroom Scales - Black state that the scales should be used on a firm, flat surface. On balance, we would say that use on carpets is not suitable however the only way to compare would be to try them out on a hard floor and then the carpet (as carpets can be variable), to see if the weights were comparable.
