Perfect diet companion
Large dial which makes it easier to read. Do have to keep an eye on the zero setting as when weighed dies move slightly but this happened with previous mechanical scales. Overall for the price I paid it was a good buy but would not have purchased at full price. Should last a few years and does have an extended guarantee if you register it with Salter. I don't know about the accuracy because they give a different reading to my older scales.

I bought these scales a few days ago, to replace a digital set that had given up the ghost😂 These are nice and easy to read, although if you are tall like me it's not so easy to see the individual lb markings. Very sturdy and stable, also a good size to step onto easily. They seem to be registering my weight accurately as well which is good 👍

A GREAT NO FUSS SCALE.
I bought this as I tried a Digital Scale which required an app download. It was quite complicated to pair it up with my mobile and the weight readings differed by a few pounds - even on the same day! Not accurate at all. So I decided to try this NO FUSS scale and it does what it says on the tin. Step on, get your reading and step off again. Great, and the readings seem to be accurate- no pounds of difference! Very easy to read too.

The instructions for use of the Salter Mechanical Bathroom Scales - Black state that the scales should be used on a firm, flat surface. On balance, we would say that use on carpets is not suitable however the only way to compare would be to try them out on a hard floor and then the carpet (as carpets can be variable), to see if the weights were comparable.
