Great set of bathroom scales. Sturdy and accurate, easy to callibrate and can read the numbers clearly! I have had digital scales previously and they were never accurate, so returning to more traditional scales this time has not disapointed.

Hi there,
The instructions for use of the Salter Mechanical Bathroom Scales - Black state that the scales should be used on a firm, flat surface. On balance, we would say that use on carpets is not suitable however the only way to compare would be to try them out on a hard floor and then the carpet (as carpets can be variable), to see if the weights were comparable.
