Not accurate
These scales are not at all accurate. The weight measurement can vary by a quarter of a stone depending where you put your feet or if leaning forwards or backwards. Ok if you just want a rough guide to your weight but useless if you are on a diet and measuring your progress.

Had the scales couple of weeks now They are robust and have easy to read dial Can adjust back to zero ( if required) by dial at bottom of scales- unsure about reading correct weight as still different to Drs scales

The instructions for use of the Salter Mechanical Bathroom Scales - Black state that the scales should be used on a firm, flat surface. On balance, we would say that use on carpets is not suitable however the only way to compare would be to try them out on a hard floor and then the carpet (as carpets can be variable), to see if the weights were comparable.
