A joy to use with state of the art electronics. The variable temperature setpoints facility we find is particularly useful for powdered cappuccinos that require sub-boiling water temperature for lump-free mixing. It does not over-boil and switches off promptly when the actual temperature attains the required setpoint. The water level 'sight glass' is adjacent to the handle and for me, is not as convenient as one that is placed at 90⁰ to the handle. However, this is a well engineered kettle from a respected marque.

Decent kettle, should last a long time
Does the job. Quieter than the old kettle and boils faster. Only issue is the base is quite bulky with panel sticking out.

Bosch TWK7203GB Sky Variable Temperature Kettle - Black:
This is designed for boiling water and should not taste of stainless steel. It does recommended on first use to fill the kettle with water and bring to the boil twice to clean it thoroughly. When the water comes to the boil for the first time, add a tablespoon of white vinegar. It is also recommended to regularly descale your kettle with vinegar or a commercially available descaling agent.
Filtering your water can also help alleviate any unpleasant tastes and decrease the build up of limescale increasing the lifetime of your kettle.
