Shark UV Reveal PowerDetect Wet & Dry - Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not unfamiliar with robot cleaners I have another well known robot cleaner (vacuum only) but I have never owned dry and wet vacuum cleaner and I have always wanted one!. When vacuuming the Shark is much quieter than my previous one and definitely looks more sophisticated, it even drops a little bow before heading off to clean! It has a unique UV-powered stain detection mode which is fascinating to watch, it tackles hidden mess which only show under this UV light and it then starts a scrubbing motion! I love the fact it even cleans its own mop! Infact once you have it all set up it can truly be hands-off experience by handling almost all maintenance for up to 60 days. It not only self-empties the dustbin into a bagless container but also automatically refills the robot's water tank and washes and dries the mopping pad with warm air to prevent odour. It also has a built in air freshener so it never smells over those 60 days! Perfect! It has “NeverStuck" technology, which allows the robot to lift its rear to navigate over high thresholds and thick rugs, my old one regularly got stuck and I had to go off and rescue it! I won’t miss that! I few minor points: While its vacuuming performance on hard floors and carpets is generally very good, I was hoping its performance in corners would be a little better than my previous machine, as I have found some debris left behind. On the other hand we have cats and it has kept up really well with the dirty paw prints and cat hairs. Its also early days, so maybe a tweak is needed! Whilst I appreciate the all-in-one functionality for dirt, rubbish and water, the base station is large and tall so you need to think about where this will be long term, it states it cannot be on carpet and obviously it needs to be near a socket. It is expensive, however well worth it if you have a busy lifestyle, children and pets etc! You can fire it up on the app whilst out if someone unexpected is going to drop around! On the whole I would certainly recommend the Shark UV Reveal PowerDetect Wet & Dry Robot Vacuum (RV3000XEUK).

Amazing tech

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this product with some trepidation, we're of that certain age where technology scares us half to death, what if we break it while setting it up? The hefty price tag made us question wether this would be total overkill for us to get the full benefit of its groundbreaking features! Thankfully, we had this gem of a machine set up, app downloaded and running within about 15 minutes, it was stress free and relatively easy even for technophobes like us! We set the machine running to cover the 4 areas in our largish flat. It is mostly carpeted with an area in the kitchen & landing which is hard wood flooring. So as per instructed we set the base unit up from there. The initial test run was largely faultless, the only issue really was a large rug with tassels that it didnt like too much, quite happy to actually replace the rug to be fair. It took about 40 minutes from start to finish. Really liked the self cleaning process, happy with the amount of debris it picked up, so quite powerful for a relative small moving appliance! Over the next few days we experimented with the app to schedule cleaning modes while we were out. All these processes where done without fault with the process from start to finish took about 35 mins. Have to say, we just love this machine, so easy to use and stress free In all honesty, this item would not have been on our shopping list mostly due to the size of our flat & budget. However, we would recommend this machine to anyone with a sizeable house/flat due to the ease of set up, use and absolute reliability of the hoover to clean well & efficiently every time. We've even set up the app whilst away at our caravan to clean up before we get home, genius!

Sleek robot hoover

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This robot hoover is really good - it's made a huge difference to the manual hoovering required downstairs in our home to this now being on the rare occasion (huge time saving!). We found the hoover set up slightly tricky with it mapping part of the house at first but once set up it's done great. It easily picks up dog hair from the rug, and the cleaning fluid in the mopping function is fantastic. The UV function is interesting - we've seen it really go at some stains and others it appears to just point them out to us vs doing real scrubbing. Overall, a really good hoover that looks sleek and works well on hard floor, carpet and for homes with pets.

Great Product

As a newbie to a robot hoover I was a bit concerned how hard it might be to set up when it arrived but I was pleasantly surprised and pleased at just how easy it was. Once you complete a few simple setup steps, it gets going, exploring the home and mapping the house very well as it goes. I added a tiny couple of tweaks to a larger area knowing one side gets used more often and it was all so easy via the app. After setup, the app is simple to use, allowing selection for either a full clean or individual areas. It then further impresses with its great cleaning ability, the hoover leaves little lines as it goes. It's not too loud, and its ability to detect carpet and hard floors is super impressive. The mopping leaves floors very clean, no residue, and the smell from both the air filter and the mopping solution is lovely and fresh. My only suggestion for the product is that a longer power cable would be very helpful but overall I'm so impressed with this product and very pleased to have it, I can get on with other jobs and this is doing the hard work for you. Just need another one now for the upstairs of the house

Amazing!

It will speak out or alarm on the app if something is wrong. And very easy to sort out. Love how you can choose on the map which rooms to clean. Vacuums and cleans my floors beautifully. Very powerful, a little noisey but ive gotten used to it. Dust pan is small but it cleans 5 rooms before I have to empty it out. Love that i can control it from my phone. Super impressed with it! Picks up everything on the floor and a god send for dog hair!!!! Never had any issue with no picking up anything. Mopping the floor was easy to use from the app and done a brilliant job!

Love it! Would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that I was more than sceptical that a hoover of this kind would do as good a job as the old tried and trusted upright hoover that I have always been used to, but wow, I can honestly say that I now have a vacuum that has altered my whole house cleaning routine. Upon activation the hoover left the docking station and mapped the whole of my house and unbelievably followed the line of every wall and object so that no area of the floors wasn’t covered even under furniture that the near to floor slim design of the vacuum allowed. It’s unbelievable that I can activate the hoover and leave the house and when I return the whole house, every room, every area of carpet and every area of uncarpeted floor has not only been vacuumed but mopped and cleaned,the unit even returns to its docking station to empty dirty water and replenish with clean water. I can’t recommend the vacuum enough and believe once tried people will never go back to the old upright type of vacuum. It is a fantastic addition to my home.

A must have have item in the house

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I definitely recommend this little helper. It's so cool to sit on the sofa and watch him hoovering and mopping the flat. It's very easy to set up and you have clear instructions how to do it. Once you set up the app you manage robot through the app with no issues. First thing robot does maps area. It's pretty accurate you can edit and divide rooms if robot didn't do it correctly. I'd say it could be option to edit even more if you see that robot is struggling to map it correctly or misses one some part of the room. Also you can set up schedule for robot to vacuum clean and mop same time daily while you are at work. Vacuum cleaning: You have 3 power levels to choose from. I used normal all the time and that was enough. I liked that robot scans area and UV light to clean better an goes around furniture carefully. Robot vacuums really well. Another useful set up was that you can divide map into rooms and then on the app you can select,which room you want to vacuum or mop if you don't want to do all rooms. Robot perfectly recognised carpet floor and rug in the room and marked on the map accordingly. Mopping: I didn't expect for robot to mop so well. There are also 3 levels of stains detect function for you to choose from. But the most important thing for me was that you can choose from 3 levels how much water flow robot uses while mopping. I have laminate flooring in my flat and need to be careful with lots of water. So selected eco option,which is the lowest one and that was perfect. Again while mopping robot scans the area to see where are hidden stains. After finished mopping all the room if robot recognised any area which has more stains robot itself targets that area and goes and mops with more power just that area. Every time after vacuum cleaning or mopping after robot goes back to the dock and cleans itself you get a full report of cleaned area. It really saves your time when you don't need to worry about vacuum cleaning or mopping

The best little robot helper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not new to robot hoovers, I already own two from another reputable brand, one dedicated to upstairs and one for downstairs – so I had a solid benchmark before trying the new Shark robot hoover with washing ability. Even with that experience, this Shark model has genuinely impressed me. What sets it apart straight away is how incredibly quiet it is. It maps rooms thoroughly and accurately, taking note of obstacles with a level of precision I haven’t seen in my other machines. It also does an excellent job of recognising the difference between carpet and hard flooring. When it switches to washing hard floors, it’s particularly thorough, leaving everything looking properly cleaned rather than just lightly wiped over. One standout feature is the washing and drying of the washing pad. It’s a clever little addition I’ve not encountered on the other brand, and it makes the whole experience feel more self‑contained and low‑maintenance. I’m so impressed, in fact, that I’m already planning to replace my upstairs non‑Shark robot hoover with a Shark variant. I’ve held back from giving a full five stars for the moment because on a few occasions it has left behind some fluff when hoovering. It’s hard to tell whether the container is a touch too small or whether it simply doesn’t return to base to empty as often as it should. That said, we’ve recently had new wool carpet fitted throughout the house, so the excess fluff may well be down to that rather than the machine itself. I’ll continue using it for another week or so and update this review once I’ve seen how it performs once the initial carpet fluff settles down but so far, it’s looking very promising.
