This stake wouldn’t fit where my previous stake went. Therefor not really compatible. It was too big. I am unable to comment on stability. Would probably be ok if I were able to hammer into the ground but I have all flagstones.

I bought these along with a new rotary dryer in the sale. We didn't use them as it fitted in the existing hole. We didn't return them. They only cost £3.50. If the rotary dryer doesn't last, we can replace it with, one that needs a larger sized hole.

If your rotary airer wobbles, or if the ground is loose, adding post mix will make it completely stable.

No it will not, if it can accommodate a 50mm pole and spec says it is 5.5cm it obviously wont fit into a 40mm hole in concrete

Apologies, no, you can only do this from big to small, not the other way around. You would need to change the ground spike to a 45mm one.
