Very poor adapters.
The adapters used to make this suitable for thinner washing lines are too loose, too short and don't fit well. Whatever you do the washing line tilts over which means it swings round away from you when you put anything large on it and just generally looks very untidy. Definitely don't buy if you think you'll need to use the adapters.

This set of tubes and ground spike worked really well when the original fitting disintegrated. A slight adjustment (Slide in a Zip Tie) to take up the small gaps between the tubes sorted that wobbling problem. All in all a cheap and effective solution to an annoying problem.

Not really that stable for our washing line even though there were choices. We ended up buying a new washing line that can with a spike.

Hopefully it will last for years!
An interesting ground spike that will, hopefully, last for many years and accommodate a succession of rotary driers in the years to come. The only objection I have is that there is no resistance to rotation which can make loading the line somewhat more of a challenge!

Great item. Comes with a cap to hammer the spike into the ground. In the instructions it also advises to use a piece of wood so no direct impact on the cap occurs.

It's very good now that it's in the ground but don't follow the instructions on using the cap to knock it in. If you do, you'll have to pull it out again to get the cap off..

For most gardens with firm soil, the spike alone is usually fine.
If your rotary airer wobbles, or if the ground is loose, adding post mix will make it completely stable.

No it will not, if it can accommodate a 50mm pole and spec says it is 5.5cm it obviously wont fit into a 40mm hole in concrete

Apologies, no, you can only do this from big to small, not the other way around. You would need to change the ground spike to a 45mm one.
