First time I used it it hurt a little bit but now it’s fine and works fantastic really getting the hair off legs leaving them feeling so smooth

Fantastic Epilator

I wanted an epilator that I could use in the shower, and this cordless option that works well wet or dry was perfect. It could stay really close to the skin, and gave me a really smooth finish after use. I could use it on multiple areas, and it was perfect for a holiday!

The all in one holy grail of epilators!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little sceptical about this, as I've used epilators in the past, with varied results. This epilator has absolutely won me over though. The ProGuide attachment is great for helping you get your skin into the best position for removing the hair easily, and it is comfortable to hold too.  The LED light seemed like a little bit of a gimmick for me, but I still use it, and it does definitely help me to see all those little fine hairs, especially around the thigh. I love that I can use this in the shower, though I mostly do it just after I get out, as I find that gives me the best results. This comes with everything you need - a bikini trimmer, exfoliation brush, even a pedicure file. The battery life is decent too, and I can go a few uses before I need to charge it up.  Overall I'd recommend it, especially if you're looking for an alternative in between waxing and shaving.

Great features and minimum discomfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By far the most comfortable epilator I have used! Not only does it look beautifully sleek, it’s nowhere near as painful as my previous model. Being able to use it in the shower makes the whole process a lot easier and less painful. The 'ProGuide' attachment keeps the skin taut so there's less pull and I barely feel it when the skin is wet. The LED light is a nice touch too. It's great at catching the shortest of hairs that usually get left behind. My skin feels silky smooth after, once the initial redness clears up. The battery life is also great. It easily lasts through a full body session without needing a top-up. I normally dread the ingrown hairs after epilating, but I've hardly had any this time. A handy tip I got from a derm is to use glycolic acid toner on the area and it definitely works!

Effective and not half as painful as I’d imagined

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently switched up my hair removal game from disposable razors to the new Phillips Epilator 8000. After years of shaving with a manual razor I was fed up of having to repeat the process every other day. The Phillips 8000 promises up to 4 weeks of smooth skin and whist I haven’t had smooth skin for 4 weeks I have noticed a considerable difference. I must note that after years of shaving, my roots are firmly grounded and I have strawberry legs, my best advice if you are switching to an epilator is to prep the skin by exfoliating and moisturising a few days before you plan to exfoliate, this opens up any blocked hair follicles and teases them out. After following these steps I noticed a considerable difference in the effectiveness of the epilator and much smoother skin. I think if I continue these steps, the results over time will be even better. For comparison, I also used the epilator on my forearms when I do not have strawberry skin and the results were incredible, after 3 weeks my skin is still noticeably smooth. I love that the epilator comes with a 360 degrees light attachment, it really helps me to see those fine, blonde hairs with ease. The epilator itself is comfortable to hold and appealing in colour. Can be used wet or dry, but I found it most effective on dry skin. The charge lasts well, allowing me to epilate both of my legs in one charge. The only negative for me was that I found it could be a little more flexible- it’s a little difficult to use around your knees and ankles. Apart from that, it’s definitely a product I will continue to use and over time I think the results will improve dramatically.

Amazing multi functional epilator !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many epilators in the past but definitely found this one less painful, I actually couldn't feel it removing hairs most the time. It was very effective at removing hairs even very short hairs. Did sometimes require going over twice. It uses 32 ceramic tweezers that grab hair as short as 0.5 mm. Removes hair from the root so skin can stay smooth up to about 4 weeks. I really liked the fact it can be used wet or dry. It is fully waterproof, so you can use it in the shower aswell There is a LED light to help spot small hairs you might otherwise miss. It is multifunctional, therefore, not just an epilator, also a shaver and exfoliator. Meaning less products needed in your house. It's come with lots of different attachments: shaving head bikini trimmer exfoliation brush facial hair remover trimming combs I have found the battery charge really good, it was recommended about 60 minutes cordless use per charge.

Great hair removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve recently tried this product and I’m really happy with the results so far. The product can be used both wet and dry. The epilator doesn’t hurt like I thought it would. It’s effective on short hair and the results last a fair few weeks. It worked amazingly on my legs, my skin felt super smooth afterwards. I have dark hair and very pale skin so even shaving you can still see some hair but with this product it removes from the root.

Great product with variety of uses!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an epilator about 20 years ago and never even managed to do more than one shin because it was so painful - I even remember trying to rub ice cubes on my leg first but that just made it harder work and not much more successful. Over the last 20 years I've tried most hair removal methods going and finally went with shaving legs and underarms and somewhat messy hair removal cream for my bikini line. I was always frustrated at how quickly I needed to shave again and I didn't like disposable parts going to landfill. I jumped at the chance to try this epilator and I was hoping for a better experience than 20 years ago. First thing I noticed out of the box with that the epilator head is ceramic which looks a little less threatening than the old metal parts. Turning it on I will admit that the noise was pretty much what I remembered and that did put me off a little bit but I persisted. I tried epilating my legs dry at first and I won't lie and say it was completely painless but it was much better than I remember and it was over very quickly. The "proguide" really helped to keep the skin taut with only one hand which is really useful for the back of my legs and underarms and the light helped me get all the hair rather than finding an annoying missed patch 3 hours later. As it's waterproof I also tried using in the bath and then it was nearly painless which is fab! Epilating does leave my skin a bit bumpy initially so not ideal if I needed to quickly defuzz before going out with my legs out but the shaving attachment could then be used so I won't need to keep disposables in just in case. The shaving head is also great for keeping biking line tidy if epilating the bikini line isn't for you! The epilator also comes with an exfoliating brush head for before epilating which I haven't tried yet as it seems a little small so I've used a body brush or honestly havent bothered. I haven't been troubled by ingrowing hairs yet but if I am I'll try the brush head. The pedicure head is great and will definitely get my heels ready for summer although it did only come with one head and I don't know how long it will be until it needs replacing. I've found the replacements online and they seem expensive but I guess that perception could change if it lasts a long time. Being cordless I did wonder if I'd run out of time before finishing but I found I had more than enough time to do my legs, underarms and bikini line in one sitting!

Amazing epilator

I usually have a preference for shaving or waxing but from using this product I have been convinced that epilation may well be for me. It leaves my skin silky smooth for weeks and yes there is slight pain but I would say less so than waxing. It’s quite easy to use once you get the hang of it and the light up feature is amazing for precise hair removal. I have also enjoyed the use of the exfoliating brush and the fact it has interchange heads is great for travel. The trimmer/shaver is okay although I would prefer it to be have sharper blades as I don’t find it cuts through coarse hair that well but for fine hair it’s great. All round great product and the charge lasts quite a while also which is perfect for a long hair removal session.
