Is not the same carpet cleaning solution, but I would say is as good, if not better. It seems Pro Stain protect uses a technology to prevent future stains , where as Pro Total one I bought is more a regular stain remover with Febreeze scent to it. 
Hope you enjoy Bissell as much as I do!

Our supplier says "The standardised dilution ratio is 74mL per 3.7 litres of hand-hot tap water."

The standardized dilution ratio is 2oz per gallon. However depending on spots, what exactly the carpet got dirty from , length between washes sometimes I go a bit over the 2oz.  However, too much can create excessive foam, that will stop the suction function, and you need to pause, empty the container, and so on. A bottle of carpet shampoo goes a long way. Very happy with the product.

This unfortunately is a difficult question to answer as there are several variables involved such as how dirty the carpet may be, how long you depress the lever on the machine and how many rooms you are cleaning.



With that in mind there is no certain answer we can offer.

Hi, I have used it on my stairs carpets and I was my sofa’s every so often, and it cleans them well and smell great. I like the smell of this one better than other competitor’s brands, though can be a thing of taste . For me at least the smell is great

Vax only recommend their own cleaning solutions inside their machines, so I can't recommend this as suitable.

Can this product be used straight to carpet & washed by hand ?...

Our supplier states this cleaning solution can be used with all Bissell carpet cleaners - I have checked the Bissell website and it states for best results with the Crosswave to use the Multi Surface Formula - so no doubt this will work but the Multi Surface Formula may give you an even better result
