The Frank Olsen Intel Smart LED Side Table gives you a place to set down your drink, book or phone while adding a touch of smart lighting control to your living space. It's part of the Intel collection, built to fit beside sofas, armchairs or beds where you need handy surface space. Full-spectrum LED mood lighting runs along the back, controlled through the free Frank Olsen SMART app or by voice using Amazon Alexa. The high-gloss black finish with matching glass top looks clean and modern, while the signature midnight purple interior adds character.
The adjustable internal shelf provides flexible storage for magazines, remotes or charging cables. Hidden castor feet lift the table slightly off the floor, creating a floating effect and making it easy to move around when you're cleaning or rearranging. The scratch-resistant interior finish stands up to everyday items being placed inside. The glass top wipes clean after spills. Good quality cabinet
This was the third one of these units I bought. The finish and quality is good. Assembly is straight forward but it will take a while. The ambient lighting works well and the app is easy to use. I cannot make the inbuilt wireless charger work with an iPhone14 (tried a couple) but works fine with earlier models (iPhone XR)

Smaller than expected, it looks pretty but is very fiddly. A month later we still cannot get the door straight and the unit is not able to remain square as fixings inadequate and backing board too small

Nice idea, poorly executed.
Due to an imperfection on the glass top and the fact one of the panels was so poorly made it would not fit against the adjacent panel during construction, we had to contact the manufacturer directly (as per instruction manual) to receive replacement parts. After chasing, these were received 2 days later. The pins that hold the interior shelf are made of a brittle metal alloy that is easy to break and poor fitting instructions makes this likely! Additionally, to hold the unit square (which is required to ensure the door fits with an even gap around), small plastic 90 deg pieces screw into the back of the unit. However, these are made of malleable plastic so when tightened, they distort making it difficult to maintain good square. This results in the door, even after significant hinge adjustments, failing to hold a perfect reveal. The glass top is only friction held in place with 4 silicone/rubber pads and you can see the fast charger and the on/off switch for the light through this, which is not ideal. This may not be the case with other colours of this unit but is apparent in the white. Had we seen this unit constructed in person before purchase, I question if we would have bought it.

The supplier has advised the following for the Frank Olsen Intel Smart LED Side Table - Grey:
The height 50cm does include the feet, without the feet it is 48cm however we would not recommend not having the feet on the unit as the doors would drag on the floor and if on carpet they would be very difficult to open.
The feet are not visible, the unit is designed to almost look as if it is floating.

On checking I can see the back on this unit has open holes for wires and this would be visible if you used this in the centre of the room. I can confirm all the other sides and front are gloss finish.

“ The unit is not really designed to be used a coffee table, it does not have a gloss white back therefore would not look particularly good in the centre of a room, it is ideally designed to be a side table that sits against a wall to house books, magazines or other such items. ”
