About this product
Whether it's for security reasons or to stop you from having to search in the dark for your front door key, this elegant lantern will light up the exterior of your home in style. Traditionally shaped with a matt black finish, this outdoor light is perfect for popping by the front door. The PIR sensor turns on the light, giving you a warm welcome when you're in its 12-metre, 110-degree range, and turns off automatically when there's no movement.

Good product
Good product. Instructions give you the initial fixing guide but not to construct the actual light unit. There also seemed to be some fixings missing. Luckily had spare screws in the garage. Didn’t know these were missing as the instructions don’t include a list of all parts.

Bought lamp to replace old unit. Very impressed with lamp. Easy to install with front adjustment for time and lux level. Only criticism is the plastic locating lugs for the glass panels. These are very fiddly. On the whole a nice looking PIR lamp at a reasonable price. Click and collect same day, so well done Argos

Does the job well but could last longer
We've bought this again as getting in to replace the bulb a pain and after 6 years of wear and tear it looked shabby. Great as a motion light (Bulb not included) but I'd rather pay more for something that lasts longer

Good value outdoor light
It is a little awkward to fit due to the location of the rubber entry point for the wires on the backplate. It looks good and the motion sensitivity is good, there are no options to change sensitivity or duration the light stays on. It seems to come on regardless of how light it is outside.

Most interesting. The answer suggests that the sensor cover is removable to access the timer,etc., controls. I presume its just as easily replaced to form a waterproof seal as its important not to get driven rain into the electronics?? Perhaps there is a rubber seal?? Thanks for any information.

Coast Classic 4 Panel PIR Lantern - Black:
To adjust the settings on the sensor:
Accessing the Controls:
Gently rotate the sensor cover from left to right to reveal the two control dials underneath.
Duration Time (Timer):
This dial lets you set how long the light stays on after motion is detected.
Adjustable from approximately 10 seconds (±5 sec) to 7 minutes (±1 min).
LUX Control (Light Sensitivity):
This dial controls when the sensor activates based on ambient light:
Sun symbol: The light will work both day and night.
Moon symbol: The light will only activate at night.
