It can slightly rust if you leave water in it but it just whips off with no sign of it. How ever if your using it as a chip pan this will never be an issue. over all quite pleased

Excellent value for money
I bought this to replace an old one which we had had for many years. It is easy to keep clean and has a slot to rest the basket to drain the food before serving. The basket could have been slightly bigger, given the size of the pan and it fits into slots in the pan, so it's not easy to shake the food. However, it does seem to cook the food evenly.

Chip Pan
This chip Pan is beautiful but not worth the money. Takes a lot of oil but the basket takes a few chips. Oil also comes out easily when frying and messes up the hob a lot. Unfortunately used it so can't return it. Would not recommend.

It does state in the description that it can be used on a halogen hob.

Hi, I think the lid is for general use ie veg or potatoes, not for frying chips. If you put the lid over fat whilst cooking it will cause condensation to more or less steam, not fry your chips. If you like a crispy kind of chips Id leave the lid off.
Hi, I have bought this chip pan and the instructions say clearly Do Not Cook with the Lid On. Hope this helps.
