About this product
The Vax Air Stretch Pet Max is a multi-cyclonic upright that keeps its suction steady for consistent pickup across carpets and hard floors. It's designed for homes with pets, and the turbo tool makes short work of stubborn pet hair on furniture and stairs. The stretch hose and 13m cord give you a reach of 17m, so you can move through several rooms without unplugging, and at 5.6kg it's light enough to carry up and down stairs without much fuss.
The motorised floorhead adjusts between surfaces, and the 1.5l dustbin means you won't stop to empty it often. It's bagless, so no faffing with replacements, and multi-cyclonic technology keeps suction consistent as the bin fills. You get a full set of tools including turbo brush, mattress nozzle, crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, and dusting brush, handling upholstery, stairs, corners and floors. Brought to replace previous vax the handle is different and higher than my old vax but it's really good for stairs with the extendable attachments and big dust box, totally recommend it and there was 30% off so a bargain.

Definitely not lightweight.
I'm going to lead with how they describe it being lightweight before I mention it's ability as a cleaner. It's NOT lightweight, it's the heaviest vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I struggled so much carrying the awkward large HEAVY box, without any kind of handles home! Had I been a young weightlifter I might have been ok, but I'm not, I'm a healthy 73 year old woman. I didn't bother getting it delivered because I believed it was "lightweight". As for it's cleaning abilities, yes it's very good.

Has a lot of lead ,so you can reach difficult places. Very good pick up and suction. Its quite quiet . Very lightweight. Holds enough for me . Easy to empty.

Stretch hose connction troublesome.
Bought this as I needed to replace my Hetty vacuum after downsizing to a smaller property so less storage space for a tub vacuum. Was disappointed about the half tubes that supposedly clip together for stretchable hose pick up, but luckily being in a flat I dont have any stairs. I would have preferred an all in one tube extension running straight from the vacuum without dkot together clios which really dont seem to secure the 2 tubes together firmly and having not a lot of strength in my hands i find it fiddly and frustrating!!...Vacuum pick up is powerful and strong, need to keep the filter clean and tub emptied regularly for optimal dust collection but as a one person household i think this little vacuum is powerful enough for picking up my daily mess. So decided to keep it and persevere!

Yes. But I believe the brush only works when the slider on the front, which you alter for deep carpets or laminate, is on a particular side, it does not work on both.
