Lovely feather duvet
Since having my first flat in the 90s, I’ve always bought my feather duvets from Argos and have never had reason to complain. Needed a new duvet around 2019 and Argos was out of stock so purchased one from another retailer with the initials CT and instantly regretted it as the duvet constantly leaked feathers and the pocket-stitching unraveled not long after purchase meaning clumpy sections and cold spots - nightmare! So happy to have an Argos feather duvet back on my bed. Got the13.5 tog and it’s beautifully warm and not too heavy, and not one feather has escaped! I don’t think it sounds ‘like a crisp packet” as other reviewers state, it’s jus the normal sound a quality feather duvet makes, and I love it. And as for smells other reviews highlight, again nothing out of the ordinary, standard new feather duvet smell that completely dissipated after only an hour of airing on the washing line before putting it on the bed. Lovely warm duvet that doesn’t leak feathers.

I chose this quilt based on great reviews. And It was a great choice. Excellent quality. And a bargain price with 20% off. Had a very slight feather smell to start with but soon wore off.

Yes this makes a terrible crinkle noise its like sleeping under a bin bag or crisp packet. I am taking it back in the morning. It has kept us both up all night sadly

I bought this duvet on April 2025 and took it back very quickly. Its very crinkly and the cover looks nothing like the photos. Also very sweaty to sleep under as the noisy cover doesnt breathe properly.

Yes, the Habitat Duck Feather 10.5 Tog Duvet would be cooler than a 13.5 duvet a 4.5 Tog duvet would be a Lightweight Cooler Quilt as well.

You would need a very large drum washing machine to fit a king sized dovet. Never fill a drum more than two thirds full, you will overload the machine and there wont be enough space to wash it thoroughly.
The only time I ever fill a machine to three quarters full, max, is with light weight T-shirts and underwear only.
With towels and other heavy clothing, like jumpers, jackets or jeans etc, it is a half fill. Be kind to the machine and they live longer.
